When people think about Disney theme parks, many of them think of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida or Disneyland Resort in California. However, Disney has four other amazing parks in Europe and Asia. There is also the Tokyo Disneyland Resort, Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. Each one has its own unique look and magical feel.
Disneyland Paris — which opened as Euro Disney in 1992 — is currently wrapping up its 30th anniversary celebration. As part of the celebration, Disneyland Paris brought back the Disney Dreams! nighttime spectacular. Disney Dreams! was originally introduced to the European theme park in 2012 as part of the park’s 20th anniversary.
Disney Dreams! follows Peter Pan’s shadow as it leads them through a number of classic Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast, Ratatouille, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Brave, and The Lion King. Of course, it’s not a Disney show without some great villains. Dr. Facilier captures Peter’s shadow. Other villains join in and threaten Peter’s shadow.
When Disney Dreams! first premiered, fire effects were an exciting part of the show. However, those effects were suspended in April, after a massive fire destroyed Maleficent’s dragon in the Fantasmic! show at Disneyland Resort. Disney suspended all pyrotechnical effects at its parks, including Disney Dreams! and the Festival of Fantasy parade in Walt Disney World.
With just a couple of days left before Disney Dreams! ends, Disneyland Paris shocked and surprised guests when the fire effects returned to the beloved nighttime show.
A video of the effects was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by DLP Report.

Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration
Disneyland Paris’ 30th anniversary celebration runs through September 30. The special anniversary was extended as part of the Disney100, which celebrates one hundred years of The Walt Disney Company.
Guests can also celebrate the Disney100 at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. EPCOT has brought back Soarin’ Over California and classic Disney characters are wearing special outfits. Guests can also head to the front of the theme park and watch a brand-new light show that will be shown on Spaceship Earth.
EPCOT’s Disney100 celebration will run from September 22 through December 31. During that time, guests visiting EPCOT will also be able to enjoy the International Food & Wine Festival and the International Festival of Holidays.
Over at Disneyland Resort, the Disney100 celebration can be seen in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District. Guests can purchase specialty food and drinks, limited-time merchandise, and watch a new show — World of Color – ONE — in DCA. A new fireworks show, Wondrous Journeys, was introduced in January but is now on hiatus for the Halloween and Christmas seasons.
