Guests Forced Down a Different Path to the Disneyland Theme Parks, Effective November 2

Anyone who rides a hotel shuttle to Disneyland Resort now has a new start to their vacation. On Monday, November 2, Good Neighbor and third-party shuttle buses began using a different stop, which changes the walk to Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District.

Until this week, Southern California Disney Park guests staying at off-property hotels were dropped off and picked up at the South Harbor Boulevard entrance near the Esplanade. Sunday, November 1, was the last day that location could be used to board or exit a bus.

As of November 2, shuttles load and unload on the west side of Downtown Drive, near the Disneyland Hotel valet loop. The new stop is close to the Lululemon store in the Downtown Disney District. Rideshares and shuttles from the Toy Story Parking Area already used this spot, so it now handles several kinds of transportation at once.

Disneyland Resort revised its digital map right away. X (formerly known as Twitter) user @ThemeParkIQ noticed the update and shared before-and-after images, writing:

The shift comes after months of construction on the eastern side of the Esplanade, between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Disney previously demolished several ticket booths there to make way for a pedestrian bridge. The bridge will connect to a new parking structure and transportation hub currently under construction.

Once complete, the garage will offer approximately 6,000 parking spaces, more than 300 electric vehicle charging stations, a dedicated zone for rideshares and shuttles, and a security office. It is part of the DisneylandForward expansion project and is meant to support the added traffic expected when new attractions open, such as those planned for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park and the updated Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park.

Visitors who depend on hotel shuttles should confirm the new pickup location with their hotel or shuttle operator. Because the walk now begins in Downtown Disney rather than at the Esplanade, allowing extra time while adjusting to the change is a good idea.
