Disney World Just Laid Out a 10-Year Gameplan Fans Won’t Believe

Disney World has continuously evolved, but the next ten years will bring changes on a scale that feels unprecedented. Confirmed expansions and rumored projects paint a picture of a resort preparing for its most daring transformation yet. By 2035, Disney’s four parks could look almost unrecognizable.

Here’s a closer look at what’s in store.

A New Adventure: Piston Peak

Magic Kingdom will soon welcome Piston Peak, a land based on Planes: Fire & Rescue. The concept gives the park a refreshing storyline rooted in adventure and natural beauty.

The land is expected to feature a thrilling firefighting ride where guests take part in battling blazes through mountainous terrain. A secondary dark ride may highlight the film’s colorful characters, offering a lighter option for families. Piston Peak feels like the next logical step for a park already rich in storytelling.

Three cars race on a winding dirt track through a rocky, forested landscape. One car speeds over a hill, another crosses a bridge, and a Disney-themed car with four people drives near a waterfall, leaving a trail of dust. Red flags mark the course.

Villains Take Center Stage

Long teased and confirmed, Villains Land will be built beyond Big Thunder Mountain. This addition gives some of Disney’s most notorious characters their own space.

While Disney hasn’t revealed the full lineup, ideas range from a Maleficent-inspired coaster to atmospheric attractions where guests can encounter Hades or Ursula. Darker music, torch-lit walkways, and imposing castle structures could make the land unlike anything else at Magic Kingdom.

For years, fans have asked for this. Soon, it will be a reality.

Pixar Expands With Monsters, Inc.

Hollywood Studios is getting a boost from the world of Monsters, Inc.. Mike and Sulley’s adventures in Monstropolis will soon play out in a dedicated land designed to capture the film’s charm.

The highlight is rumored to be a door-hangar ride, where guests swing through portals while spotting their favorite characters. This ride is expected to balance the park’s current emphasis on thrill rides, giving families a reason to linger longer in Hollywood Studios.

Tropical Americas Brings New Energy to Animal Kingdom

Disney will replace DinoLand U.S.A. with Tropical Americas, one of Animal Kingdom’s most significant undertakings yet. This new land will showcase the natural beauty and vibrant culture of Central and South America.

The plans include retheming DINOSAUR into an Indiana Jones adventure and adding an Encanto experience where guests can explore the magical Madrigal casita. Disney will also bring in colorful environments and themed dining, making Tropical Americas a signature piece of Animal Kingdom’s future.

EPCOT’s Rumored Next Move

Unlike the other three parks, EPCOT’s future remains more speculative. The park already feels refreshed with its recent major additions, but fans believe more is coming.

The strongest rumor centers on a Coco reimagining of the Gran Fiesta Tour in Mexico. Floating through the Land of the Dead with Miguel, surrounded by glowing marigolds, would deliver a one-of-a-kind attraction. Beyond that, the door is open to new pavilions and Pixar tie-ins.
