Disney World Guests Sell Out Resort’s Most Expensive Line-Skipping Offering

As fall arrives at Walt Disney World Resort, both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are in the midst of significant updates. Yet even with construction and enhancements underway, one premium offering is still drawing major attention—Disney’s Premier Pass.

Introduced as the highest-tier Lightning Lane option, the Premier Pass allows guests to experience Disney’s most popular attractions with minimal waits. Prices vary according to park, date, and demand. Across the resort, the cost spans approximately $129 to $449. Guests at Magic Kingdom have recently paid between $379 and $449 per person, while those at Hollywood Studios have seen prices from $269 to $349.

The arrival of October brought swift sellouts for the upcoming Columbus Day weekend, one of the first busy periods of the fall and winter seasons. According to WDWMagic, availability for the Premier Pass disappeared for October 6 at Magic Kingdom and for October 11–13 at both Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

Columbus Day—observed on the second Monday of October, landing on October 13, 2025—traditionally encourages extended weekend travel. Families often take advantage of the extra time off to visit destinations like Walt Disney World, driving up attendance and increasing demand for premium experiences. The timing is also a prelude to the park’s next wave of high attendance during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year celebrations.

With prices at the high end of the resort’s offerings, the rapid sellout highlights guests’ continued desire for time-saving options during peak holidays. For many, the Premier Pass offers a chance to enjoy attractions more efficiently before holiday festivities begin in full.

Those who missed this year’s Premier Pass window for the Columbus Day weekend may need to adjust their visit dates or prepare for longer standby waits as crowds gather to enjoy Florida’s warm early autumn weather.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
