When it comes to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, one of the best parts is indulging in unique treats that you can only get at The Most Magical Place on Earth. You can snag delectable cheeseburger spring rolls at the Magic Kingdom and pair them with the DOLE Whip pineapple upside-down cake. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can enjoy a cup of POG gelato, and at EPCOT, you can drink and eat around the world!

There are also iconic snacks that are truly Disney, like the DOLE Whip, a Mickey-shaped pretzel, and the Mickey’s Premium Bar.
Disney chefs work around the clock, creating new and fun dishes they want guests to remember. But sometimes, they might get a little too creative and go a little overboard.
That was certainly the case in 2015 when guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park found themselves able to purchase animal poop candy. That’s right, POOP candy! And it could only be found at Zuri’s Sweets Shop.
Now, of course, this wasn’t actual poop. But Disney World chefs had created several sweet treats that were designed to look like animal poop. In the “Match the Species” set, guests had the option to purchase poop that looked like it was from a giraffe, an elephant, a hippopotamus, or a Cotton-Top tamarin.
The giraffe poop was fudge brownie and caramel rolled into small balls, while the elephant poop was chocolate and peanut butter fudge rolled with oats and yellow coconut flakes. The hippo poop was made of a chocolate fudge caramel brownie, combined with peanut butter and rolled oats. The Cotton-Top Tamarin poop was made of pretzel pieces covered in chocolate peanut butter fudge rolled in sweetened oats.

Unfortunately, the poop candy didn’t last long at Zuri’s Sweets Shop. The poop candy was pulled from the shelves after just a couple of weeks, primarily due to a number of guest complaints. However, Disney did say that the sweet treats weren’t going away permanently. They said that it is possible that the animal poop treats could come back for special events.
Did you ever purchase poop candy from Animal Kingdom? Do you think Disney should bring it back? Let us know in the comments!
