A trip to Walt Disney World usually involves plenty of planning, but there's one thing visitors can't control: Florida's weather.
And this week, Mother Nature isn't making things particularly easy.

For the second consecutive day, Disney World is facing a Wind Advisory as strong gusts move through Central Florida. The latest forecast suggests conditions could become even more intense Tuesday afternoon, potentially creating problems for guests spending the day at the resort.
With wind speeds expected to reach 45 mph in some areas, visitors should prepare for a few possible surprises.
Strong Winds Return to Disney World
Tuesday, October 27, marks another day of elevated wind conditions across Orange and Osceola Counties.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
However, isolated squalls moving onshore later in the day could bring gusts reaching 45 mph.
That's slightly stronger than the conditions forecast during Monday's advisory, which warned of gusts reaching 40 mph.
Despite the wind, temperatures should remain fairly pleasant.
Afternoon readings are expected to hover around 80 degrees, with overnight temperatures dropping into the low 70s.
Still, anyone who has spent a windy afternoon walking around a theme park knows that comfortable temperatures don't always guarantee comfortable conditions.
Could the Weather Disrupt Disney World Operations?
Strong winds can create challenges for theme parks, especially those with numerous outdoor attractions and entertainment offerings.
At Magic Kingdom, attractions such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin operate outdoors.
Meanwhile, Disney's Animal Kingdom features outdoor experiences such as Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids.

These attractions aren't necessarily closing because of Tuesday's forecast, but weather conditions could influence operations if winds become too strong.
Guests hoping to enjoy outdoor entertainment should also pay attention to possible schedule changes.
Parades, fireworks, and other performances can be affected by unfavorable weather, although Disney hasn't announced that Tuesday's advisory will result in specific cancellations.
For visitors who have spent months planning their vacations, the possibility of unexpected interruptions can certainly be frustrating.
However, checking attraction availability throughout the day can help families make the most of their time.
The Forecast Isn't Improving Just Yet
Unfortunately, Tuesday's conditions aren't expected to be the last of the unsettled weather.
Forecasters anticipate gusty winds continuing through the middle of the week, with Wednesday and Thursday bringing increased chances of rain.
Isolated lightning is also possible, which could create additional complications for outdoor attractions.
The forecast does offer some encouraging news for visitors arriving closer to the weekend.
Wind conditions are expected to gradually ease over the next several days.

Until then, guests should keep an eye on the forecast, secure loose belongings, and consider having backup plans for outdoor activities.
Disney World remains open, and a Wind Advisory doesn't mean every attraction will experience problems.
Still, with gusts potentially reaching 45 mph, visitors should be prepared for a park day that might not go exactly as planned.
