November might be a great time to visit Universal Orlando, but guests shouldn't expect every attraction to be operating.
As the resort transitions from Halloween Horror Nights into the holiday season, several experiences are either temporarily closed, undergoing major changes, or preparing to disappear completely.

And while some of these closures will only affect guests for a single day, others could change vacation plans for the entire month.
Here are five attractions Universal Orlando visitors should know about before heading to the parks.
One of Universal's Most Famous Trains Is Taking a Break
The Hogwarts Express is one of the biggest reasons many Harry Potter fans purchase tickets that allow them to visit both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
The train connects the two sections of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, allowing guests to travel between London and Hogsmeade.
Along the way, riders experience scenes inspired by the Harry Potter franchise.
Unfortunately, the Hogwarts Express won't operate on November 4, 2026.

Universal has scheduled a one-day closure for the attraction, affecting transportation between the two parks.
Guests can still visit both sections of The Wizarding World, but they'll need to walk between the parks using the regular entrances.
The good news? The train is expected to return after the brief closure.
Jurassic Park Fans Have a Longer Wait Ahead
Not every November closure will be quite so short.
The popular water ride is known for its dinosaur encounters, elaborate theming, and thrilling final drop.

For many guests, it's an essential part of visiting Jurassic Park.
Unfortunately, Universal's operating calendar currently shows that Jurassic Park River Adventure won't reopen until December 16, 2026.
That means November visitors will need to skip the attraction entirely.
Guests looking for dinosaur-themed thrills can still experience Jurassic World VelociCoaster, although its high-speed launches and inversions make it a much more intense experience.
A DreamWorks Favorite Has Disappeared From the Schedule
Over at Universal Studios Florida, another family-friendly experience remains closed.
Po Live!, located in DreamWorks Land, stopped operating on October 3, 2026.
The attraction allows guests to interact with Po from the Kung Fu Panda franchise through an animated screen.
During the experience, visitors participate in a lighthearted training session while communicating with the character.

It's a particularly enjoyable option for younger guests who aren't interested in Universal's larger thrill rides.
Unfortunately, Universal has not provided a reopening date.
With November approaching, families shouldn't count on Po Live! being available during their trip.
Other DreamWorks Land experiences remain options, but the interactive show offers something different from the area's traditional rides and play spaces.
A Classic Show Is Making Way for Something Different
Universal's Horror Make-Up Show has entertained generations of guests at Universal Studios Florida.
However, the longtime production closed on May 12, 2026, as Universal began preparing a reimagined experience.
The original attraction gave audiences a behind-the-scenes look at horror filmmaking, including makeup effects and monster transformations.

Its replacement, Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse, will introduce new elements inspired by modern horror while maintaining connections to Universal's classic monsters.
It's a significant update for one of the park's familiar entertainment offerings.
Universal has indicated that the reimagined show should open sometime during winter 2026, but an exact date remains unconfirmed.
Until the resort announces additional details, November visitors should prepare for the theater to remain closed.
Universal Is Saying Goodbye to a 36-Year Tradition
The biggest permanent change coming in November involves Animal Actors on Location!.
Animal Actors has roots dating back to 1990, when Universal Studios Florida first opened.
Over the years, the show has featured trained dogs, cats, birds, and other animals demonstrating tricks and techniques associated with film productions.

For families, it has offered a slower-paced alternative to Universal's roller coasters and motion simulators.
The closure is particularly significant because Animal Actors represents part of Universal Studios Florida's original identity as a movie-focused theme park.
After more than three decades, that chapter is coming to an end.
Guests visiting during the first two days of November can still catch a final performance, but the experience will no longer be available afterward.
November Visitors Should Plan Around These Changes
Universal Orlando continues to expand and introduce new experiences, but that progress sometimes means temporarily losing familiar attractions.
This November brings a combination of brief refurbishments, extended closures, and permanent changes.
Some attractions, including the Hogwarts Express, should return relatively quickly. Others, like Jurassic Park River Adventure, won't be available until later in the year.
Meanwhile, Animal Actors on Location! is preparing to close for good.
Before visiting, guests should review Universal's official attraction schedules and keep backup plans ready.
With so many experiences spread across Universal Orlando's theme parks, a little preparation can help visitors avoid unexpected surprises.
