Marvel Is Building Toward More X-Men
The EPCOT arrival comes as the X-Men prepare to play a larger role for Marvel Studios.
Marvel has confirmed Sadie Sink will portray Jean Grey in its upcoming X-Men film. The project will introduce a new version of the mutant team into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Marvel Studios continues to develop the franchise's future.
That puts more attention on characters who have already built a huge following across movies, television, comics, and other Marvel projects.
Disney World guests now have another way to tap into that excitement.
The new X-Men ’97 merchandise is part of the Marvel Vault collection at EPCOT and was created in collaboration with Heroes & Villains. Instead of focusing on just one character, the designs feature several familiar team members.

EPCOT Brings New X-Men Experience
The collection uses recognizable X-Men colors alongside a retro racing theme that appears across several pieces.
At $36.99, the X-Men ’97 Racing Hat offers the cheapest entry point.
The soft mesh hat combines black, dark blue, and gray. Its front features “X ’97” with red, gold, blue, black, and white racing details. Disney also included an adjustable back strap and a Marvel Studios X-Men patch.
Two Dri-FIT racing shirts give guests additional apparel options.
The Dark Blue Racing T-Shirt costs $46.99 and features yellow stitching with “X ’97” on the chest. Names including Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Gambit, Rogue, and Magneto appear vertically along the front.
For the same $46.99 price, guests can choose the White Racing T-Shirt. That version features black raglan stitching and colorful racing panels along the sides. “X ’97 MUTANT LIBERATION” appears on the front, while a Heroes & Villains emblem sits near the back collar.
Those shirts sit right in the middle of the collection's price range.

Prices Climb From There
Guests who want an accessory instead of another shirt can pick up the X-Men ’97 Crossbody Bag for $49.99.
The bag combines dark blue and black with a reflective X-Men logo across the top flap. Yellow straps and trim provide contrast, while red tabs and a red handle add more color. The design also includes padded mesh on the back and a wearable blue strap with black lining.
The biggest jump comes with the X-Men ’97 Bomber Jacket.
Disney has priced the jacket at $89.99.
Its blue nylon design features a red, gold, and white V-stripe and an embroidered X-Men logo on the chest. A larger logo dominates the back. Side pockets, a yellow zipper pull, and additional X-Men ’97 branding finish the look.
Buying just the jacket and two shirts would already cost $183.97 before tax.
For guests who want every piece, the bill climbs even higher.

The Complete X-Men Haul Costs $270.95
Purchasing all five X-Men ’97 items currently included in the lineup would cost $270.95 before tax.
That's a considerable merchandise bill on top of the other expenses that can come with a Walt Disney World vacation, including park tickets, accommodations, meals, transportation, and additional souvenirs.
Fortunately, guests interested in the collection have several price points to choose from. Someone who simply wants a piece of X-Men ’97 merchandise can stick with the hat or one of the shirts without coming close to the full $270.95 total.
For more dedicated collectors, however, walking away with the entire assortment means spending considerably more.
Marvel Studios may be preparing the X-Men for a bigger future on screen, but EPCOT guests can start celebrating the team now.
They'll just need a fairly generous merchandise budget if they want the whole collection.
