While the Walt Disney World theme parks are the resort’s main attractions, there are plenty of other places to visit on the property. One of the lesser-known entertainment areas is Disney’s Boardwalk, located in the Epcot Resort Area. This lakefront promenade is reminiscent of early 1900’s boardwalks like Coney Island and Atlantic City. It also provides nearly endless options for entertainment and nightlife. Whether you’re looking for a fun place to spend an evening or an exciting opportunity to dance the night away, Disney’s Boardwalk is where you need to be!
Stroll Around the Lake
One of the best parts about spending time at the Boardwalk is simply taking a walk around Crescent Lake! The Boardwalk is connected to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort (big surprise), the Swan and Dolphin, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club resorts, and the back entrance of Epcot! A walking path borders the perimeter of the lake, giving you the perfect opportunity to enjoy all of these areas.
Stop to Enjoy the Street Performers
During the evening hours, typically on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, you may find a variety of street performers on the BoardWalk. The musicians, jugglers, and balance artists make you feel as if you are walking through a vibrant street festival. Plus, they’re hilarious and family-friendly!
Play a Carnival Game
Midway-style games are open for you to play in the afternoons and evenings. These classic activities give you the chance to challenge your friends and family and, hopefully, win a fun prize!
Treat Yourself at the Boardwalk Bakery
This quaint sweets shop is the ideal stop for a quick breakfast or on-the-go treats and baked goods. From cupcakes, cookies, coffee, soups, or sandwiches, you’re sure to find exactly what you need to satisfy your cravings.
