Bystanders reportedly found an infant left alone in a stroller while its parents rode a Disneyland Park attraction. The story, captured in a viral Instagram video, has many calling for the family to face consequences from Disneyland Resort.
The situation unfolded last month in Tomorrowland, where Disney Park guests noticed a baby alone in a stroller. According to Instagram user @tink_loves_disney, the child’s parents were later found in the Space Mountain queue with the rest of their travel party. The post claimed the stroller had been left “facing the sun” on hot pavement, and the infant appeared to be crying.

Disneyland Resort offers a Rider Switch service that allows parents of young children to take turns enjoying attractions without leaving anyone behind. The service lets “Party A” wait in the standby line and ride first while “Party B” stays with the non-riding guest (or service animal). Then, “Party B” can use the Lightning Lane or alternate entrance to ride without a second long wait. Unfortunately, this family didn’t appear to use that option.

🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 Baby left in stroller while family went on a ride. 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 I could not believe this. And the security took so long to get here. But I wasn't letting her get away. I followed her to Space Mountain. She thought my friend was gonna follow her because my friend gave her some choice words. (well deserved) But I was. And when I saw the security, I went and called them. And told them where she and her family went so they could deal with them. The lady and her husband tried to ditch their stroller and walk away with the baby and their 2 kids. 🤦♀️ @diz4lfe #babyleftalone #Disneyland @disneyland #shame #disgusting #parentneglect #mindblown #disbelief
The accompanying video shows Disney cast members gathered around the baby shortly after the mother reportedly returned from Space Mountain.
“This lady and her husband and two kids left this baby in the stroller while they went on rides,” the Instagram user says in the clip. “Me and my friend were standing there as she was taking pictures, and I just happened to notice that this stroller was moving.”

She explained that she and her friend immediately called for security and stayed with the infant for 10 to 15 minutes.
“Of course, I called security, and all of a sudden, she came running, but we had already been standing here about…ten to fifteen minutes, trying to get somebody over here,” the guest continued. “I just kept grabbing employees, and I’m like, ‘There is a baby by itself left in this stroller.’”

According to witnesses, the parents attempted to walk away with the stroller after returning from the ride, but were intercepted by security cast members thanks to bystander intervention. It is unclear whether Disneyland Resort took any disciplinary action against the family.
Disney policy requires all guests under 14 to be accompanied by someone at least 14 years old while visiting Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. Failure to follow this rule can result in ejection from Disneyland Resort.

People shouldn’t be surprised! Unfortunately, this happens quite often! In Toontown, people often leave their little ones alone in their stroller while they use the restrooms, take photos with characters or chase their other kids around Goofy’s play yard.
