It didn’t take long for the news to spread that a fire had started in the Pixar Pals Parking Structure, specifically in the Finding Nemo section on level five. Early reports suggested that three or four cars were involved, but the cause of the blaze remains unclear. The first car to catch fire was a Kia Sportage SUV.
Firefighters arrived quickly, but the first responders reportedly had trouble locating enough water to combat the blaze. Fortunately, the fire was eventually extinguished, but not before it left a significant amount of smoke damage. Disneyland Resort had to close much of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure to assess the damage.

Thankfully, there were no injuries. However, as the hours went on, smoke damage was visible in the parking structure, and the area near the fire on the fifth level was marked off with caution tape.
By Tuesday, Disneyland Resort had started repairing the Pixar Pals Parking Structure. WDWNT reported that beige construction walls were now surrounding the affected section of the parking structure on level five. Additionally, poles wrapped in caution tape and bright orange traffic cones have been placed to ensure guests avoid the damaged area.
Nearby guests couldn’t miss the large industrial fans set up at the edge of the parking structure, most likely trying to clear out the lingering smoke smell. Parts of the structure, including the roof, floor, and support beams, have also been stained dark from the fire.

While most of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure remains open for parking, the affected section is still off-limits as crews work to restore it. The fire didn’t impact other areas of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, or Downtown Disney, so guests can still enjoy the Southern California Disney parks without issue.
