The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) is an essential holiday classic, weaving Charles Dickens’ classic story with the humor and heart of the Muppets. Yet, despite its warm place in viewers’ hearts, Disney has never created a dedicated theme park attraction.
But could that all change in the coming years?
Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park is undergoing a massive reimagining into what will be called Disney Adventure World. This new expansion promises new themed lands such as World of Frozen and a Lion King area. But amidst these exciting developments, is there a space for a Muppet Christmas Carol-themed attraction of some kind?

While there are currently no plans whatsoever, imagine stepping into a ride that transports visitors to Victorian London’s foggy streets, just like in the 1992 film.
A gentle dark ride, perhaps, with detailed sets and audio-animatronic versions of Kermit as Bob Cratchit, Michael Caine as Scrooge, and even the mischievous Gonzo narrating as Charles Dickens. The scenes could also bring to life the classic visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, all set to the film’s catchy, memorable songs.
Disney has already given the Muppets a presence in its parks, from Muppet*Vision 3D in Hollywood Studios to seasonal photo opportunities, but a ride based on The Muppet Christmas Carol would offer something new, and could add a festive touch that feels both timeless and new, perfectly suited for Disneyland Paris’s expanding slate of attractions.
As Disney Adventure World takes shape, integrating the Muppets’ take on Dickens’ classic would be a game-changer. It would bring warmth and magic that visitors will return to year after year. Here’s hoping this beloved tale finds a new home in the parks very soon.
