Disney Confirms It Will Celebrate Pride in 2025 With Kid-Friendly Event

Get your best outfit ready! Disneyland Resort has confirmed its annual event, Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite, will return in June 2025, providing a magical, kid-friendly way for guests to celebrate Pride.

In the face of ongoing political pressure on the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly from President Donald Trump and other Republican figures, Disneyland Resort is reaffirming its dedication to an event that “recognizes and embraces the LGBTQIA+ community.” This comes on the heels of Disney’s recent push for shareholders to vote against a proposal that would have removed Disney from the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

Although Disney decided to remove certain DEI-related content from its website and ended the “Reimagine Tomorrow” campaign, which highlighted diversity in Disney’s storytelling, the company has remained committed to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. A proposal criticizing Disney for alleged ties to LGBTQIA+ nonprofits, including GLAAD and The Trevor Project, was ultimately rejected by shareholders.

Now, Disneyland Resort is doubling down on its Pride celebrations. Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite will return to Disneyland Park on June 16 and June 18, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The event will include early park access from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., before Disneyland Park closes to regular guests.

This kid-friendly event offers much more than just the chance to celebrate Pride. Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite features shorter waits for popular attractions, exclusive photo opportunities (with free Disney PhotoPass downloads!), and unique entertainment, including the “Welcome Pride Cavalcade,” “Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite Fireworks – WELCOME!,” and the Pride Musical Celebration.

Guests will have the chance to meet beloved Disney characters in Pride-themed outfits, along with some rare characters that don’t typically appear at Disneyland Park. In addition, themed merchandise and limited-edition snacks will be available for purchase.

Tickets for Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite are priced at $169 per guest (ages 3+). Magic Key holders can purchase tickets starting April 16, 2025, and the general public will be able to buy tickets beginning April 17, 2025, no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Visit the Disneyland Resort website for more details on ticket sales and other Disneyland After Dark events, including ’90s Nite and Star Wars Nite.

  1. Kid friendly pride event!!!! Walt is rolling in his grave, very sad, let kids be kids!!!

  2. This is wonderful news! Families with gay and lesbian and trans parents need a safe space that their kids can come and feel accepted and just have fun! Bravo!

  3. These are not child friendly venues. I have friends and family in those communities…trust me. If you include children you are doing nothing but recruiting

  4. Anyone saying negative words about this event are the ones to keep your eyes on at all times. We are gay from birth you can’t catch gay. Sorry, but only few can be born and chose to live a gay life style! Gods choice, God’s children.
