An unexpected visitor recently brought some extra chaos to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park. Stitch, the mischievous blue alien from Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch (2002), made a surprise appearance during Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary celebrations.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which debuted in Disneyland Park’s Bayou Country in November 2024, is the long-awaited retheme of the classic Splash Mountain ride. The transformation replaced the controversial Song of the South (1946) theme with the beloved characters from The Princess and the Frog (2009). Princess Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose), Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis), Louis (Michael-Leon Wooley), and Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos) invite guests to experience a lively New Orleans-style musical celebration as they float through the attraction.
In a clip shared by Disneyland Resort and theme park journalist Scott Gustin on X (formerly Twitter), Stitch crash-lands into the park and even takes a spin on the new attraction:

Stitch’s visit coincides with the lead-up to the May 22 theatrical release of Lilo & Stitch (2025) and the start of the Disneyland70 festivities, which kicked off last week and will continue through summer 2026. Alongside Stitch’s antics, Disneyland Resort guests can enjoy a variety of entertainment offerings. New offerings include the “Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” starring Duffy and ShellieMay, the “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show, and the interactive nighttime spectacular “World of Color Happiness!” Returning favorites such as Paint the Night, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” parade, and Wondrous Journeys fireworks round out the lineup.
In honor of Disneyland Park’s actual birthday on July 17, a special final verse written by the Sherman brothers will debut on “it’s a small world.” On the same day, the Main Street Opera House will debut “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” featuring the first-ever Walt Disney animatronic.
Exclusive merchandise and themed food and beverages inspired by Disneyland70 and the new attractions are available throughout Disneyland Park, Downtown Disney, and Disney California Adventure Park.
