Walt Disney World has been welcoming back entertainment experiences, character sightings, restaurants, and more that have remained closed since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The most recent addition to come back to the Walt Disney World Resort? Backstage tours! Among returning events, are the Wild Africa Trek and Caring for Giants in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. One fan favorite tour, the Keys to the Kingdom Tour in the Magic Kingdom, will be returning to the park for availability beginning February 6, 2022.

The Keys to the Kingdom Tour is the ultimate Walt Disney World fan experience offering hours of behind the scenes looks and information while being led through the Magic Kingdom with a Keys to the Kingdom guide. The tour starts right on Main Street and offers in depth looks at areas never seen to Guests, including the Utilidor that makes up the first floor of the Magic Kingdom.

Throughout the day Guests will learn new secrets and trivia for favorite classic attractions, like the Haunted Mansion, the Jungle Cruise, areas of Liberty Square, and more, along with hearing firsthand stories of what it is like to work at the Magic Kingdom. The tour lasts for five hours, so there is plenty of time to learn some little known history behind the most iconic Walt Disney World theme park, and to ask questions to deepen your own understanding of The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Guests on the tour will even be treated to lunch with their guide in the Magic Kingdom, and they will take home an exclusive keepsake, only available to those who have taken the tour.

Due to the backstage areas that will be seen during the tour, the Keys to the Kingdom Tour is an experience exclusively for Guests 16 years of age or older (but it could be something to look forward to after a 16th birthday if you have little ones who are interested!) Additionally the tour costs $114 per person, and valid admission and a park reservation to the Magic Kingdom will be required to participate.

Booking is available now for dates beginning in February 2022 at disneyworld.com.
