Private Photo Shoot Experience Now Available on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Planning a voyage aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser? This all-new immersive experience officially launches from the Walt Disney World Resort on March 1, 2022, offering Guests the chance to board the Halcyon by the Chandrila Star Line for a cruise and excursion through the galaxy and to Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. While on board, Guests will enjoy immersive story elements, live entertainment, uniquely Star Wars dining options, and more, with one of the newest optional add-ons being the CSL Portrait Experience!

CSL, as in Chandrila Star Line, is one of the most luxurious civilian starcruisers in the Star Wars universe, offering only the best for Guests looking to travel this way. Now, among available offerings are private portrait sessions so you can make the most of your trip through a “galaxy far, far away.”

Details of the CSL Portrait Experience and other optional add-ons are still being released for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, however recent passenger Brooke Geiger MacDonald detailed some of the notes for the CSL Portrait experience in her review of her voyage.

The CSL Portrait Experience must be booked ahead of time, and reservations may be made by contacting Disney over the phone prior to your voyage. The photo session will take place in multiple locations around the Halcyon for included members of your party, and will run about 30 minutes in length. The introductory rate for this experience is $99, and where it was announced as an introductory rate specifically it is possible that the cost will change later on.

This photo experience is strikingly similar to the Capture Your Moment PhotoPass experiences that have recently been expanded to all four Walt Disney World theme parks. The Capture Your Moment offering started in the Magic Kingdom, giving Guests 20 minutes with their own Disney PhotoPass photographer for $79, and it has since been expanded to other Walt Disney World theme parks.

For the Guest looking to capture lots of high-quality photos while allowing the whole family to get into the picture, Disney’s PhotoPass products (like the Capture Your Moment offer and Memory Maker) often come at an excellent value despite their price points. For Guests traveling aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the private photo experience may be even more enticing as they may not be back aboard the Starcruiser again, and with the total voyage cost coming in at a minimum of $4,800, the extra spent on photography services may not seem so bad!
