Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is Serving Up Beignets, Cupcakes, and More This Holiday Season

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort recently reopened (both Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter) and Walt Disney World fans have been very excited to get over there to once again enjoy some beignets alongside classic New Orleans style decor and architecture.

Before we get to the new holiday treats, beignets are indeed back! You can pick them up at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Port Orleans: Riverside and at the Riverside Mill Food Court, and in both lobby bars. As they were before the resort closed at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, you can order individual beignets or a trio of them (the trio is a better value, and we don’t think you’ll have a hard time finishing them!) and at the food courts you can also order them with ice cream. The prices of beignets have increased by a couple of dollars since they were last available, but we believe they are still worth it for a delicious, classic snack!

As for holiday sweets, both pumpkin and apple tarts are available at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory and Riverside Mill Food Court from November 7-27, 2021. (Why am I thinking about scooping out the apple filling from that tart and adding it to a beignet…)

The Playful Penguin Cupcake, which is completely adorable, is also available. This sweet cupcake comes with red velvet cake, cream cheese buttercream, peppermint sprinkles, and a sugared playful penguin. It is available a little bit later in the season, with the cupcake not debuting until December 19, and staying on the menu until January 1, 2022, but we think the beignets will be enough to hold you over!

In additional to Port Orleans, you can find festive holiday sweets at many resorts around Walt Disney World including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Contemporary Resort, all of the value resorts, Old Key West, and more!
