5. Calm Atmosphere & Subtle Theming
Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is themed after 1800’s Saratoga Springs, located in upstate New York. In addition to Victorian styling, you’ll notice plenty of subtle nods to horse racing at the resort; my favorite are the pillows in the rooms that feature Disney animated horses.
6. Plenty of Pools
Such a sprawling resort needs multiple pools, and Saratoga Springs does not disappoint with the 5 that it offers. Saratoga Springs Resort has 2 main “feature pools” that are accompanied by waterslides, whirlpool spas, and water play areas for children. The High Rock Spring Pool is located near the Carriage House in The Springs area of the resort and features a water slide built into the massive rocks as well as a Donald Duck themed play area. The other, perhaps more subdued, feature pool is located in the Paddock area. There is a very nice children’s water play area there, as well, in addition to smaller water slides. There are also 3 additional pools spread out across the resort for guests’ enjoyment.
7. Senses: A Disney Spa
Only a few Disney resorts have full service spas on premises: Saratoga Springs and the Grand Floridian. At Senses: A Disney Spa, you can select from a menu of facial and massage options for men and women, body treatments, manicures and pedicures, and even custom spa packages that you can indulge in for hours.
