Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus have a special relationship that has lasted decades. It is as close as two people who aren't related can possibly be.

Dolly Parton and Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, were friends when the Hannah Montana star was born, and Billy Ray made Dolly Parton Miley’s Godmother. Since then, Dolly has passed along life advice, and the two have collaborated on several projects, including Dolly appearing on four episodes of Hannah Montana.
But the two of them are extremely busy, so spending that much time together is difficult. Miley Cyrus even revealed that she can only contact the country music legend through her lawyer's office.
Dolly Parton doesn't have a cell phone and only receives faxes. So, in order to contact her godmother, Cyrus must go to her lawyer's office and use the fax machine.

But now, a new riff has formed in the relationship between Cyrus and Dolly Parton, thanks to Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer Aniston is the executive producer of a remake of 9 to 5 (1980), the classic film Dolly Parton made with Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dabney Coleman. While working on the film, which Diablo Cody, Parton, and Aniston are writing, have been spending a lot of time together to get it right.
This new relationship is not sitting well with Cyrus. She and Aniston have a longstanding beef from 2014 over a hairstyle. Cyrus has been raging that her godmother is spending so much time with someone she has a problem with.

Dolly is very excited about this project. She wants to be involved and has been giving Jen all sorts of advice, which is driving Miley mad with jealousy because she doesn't hear from her nearly as much.
Miley's extremely territorial when it comes to Dolly. But as much as she brags about how close they are, she doesn't actually see as much of Dolly as she'd like. So, seeing Jen waltz in and monopolize her has got Miley feeling pretty put out.
So, while Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Aniston vie for Dolly Parton's attention, the country music legend finds herself stuck in the middle of a petty fight for attention. But if anyone knows how to navigate these types of situations, it's Dolly Parton.
