Family issues can be complicated. Those issues become even more complicated when they are aired out in public.
Billy Ray Cyrus and daughter, Miley Cyrus, have been engaged in a very public feud, and now, former president Donald Trump decided to insert himself into that feud at a public event last week.
Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus were once close. Billy Ray had a number-one country hit with his early 1990s song, “Achy Breaky Heart.” His star faded until he co-starred with Miley in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana.
The father-daughter relationship started to fray in 2010 when Billy Ray divorced Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus. The relationship was further strained when Billy Ray married 37-year-old Australian singer Firerose. The two filed for divorce after just seven months.
During their marriage, Tish Cyrus accused Billy Ray of being violent toward her, and leaked audio of him yelling at his estranged wife, Firerose, backed up that claim. Another leaked audio of Billy Ray puts more strain on the Cyrus family.
Trump: Billy Ray Cyrus is here. Where is Billy Ray? He's around here someplace, and he's great. He's a conservative guy. I said, how did you get such a liberal daughter? How did that happen? pic.twitter.com/PykKSeZTjY

In the leaked audio, Cyrus also refers to daughter Miley as a “skank” and the “devil.”
In other audio heard by DailyMail.com Billy Ray bizarrely speaks of himself in the third person before turning his attention to his daughter, Miley, and uttering the shocking statement: ‘Everyone knows that devil’s a skank.’
Two-time divorcee Donald Trump has decided to weigh in on the Cyrus Family feud. While speaking at the Bitcoin 2024 Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, Trump acknowledged that Billy Ray was in attendance and pointed him out to the audience.
Then Trump said:
He (Billy Ray) is a great guy. He’s a conservative guy. I said, ‘How did you get such a liberal daughter? How did that happen?
The camera did not pan to Billy Ray after the Trump comment, so there is no telling how he reacted.
However, social media had quite a reaction to Trump’s comment. Social media users pointed out that Miley Cyrus and Tish Cyrus were able to survive the allegedly abusive relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus.
Some social media users even took this as a slight against Dolly Parton, Miley’s Godmother and biggest fan. This is the second time in a week that someone from the Trump campaign insulted American Treasure Dolly Parton.

Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance said that “childless cat women,” don’t have a “stake in America.” Dolly Parton fans took that as a slight against Dolly, who is a “childless cat woman.”
For now, the Cyrus Family feud is public fodder thanks to the comments from a presidential candidate. Perhaps Donald Trump should worry about debating Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris rather than Miley Cyrus.
