President Donald Trump Leaves Disney Sweetheart Selena Gomez in Extreme Tearful State

Selena Gomez, renowned singer and actress, has always used her platform to bring attention to social issues, and recently, she took a deeply emotional stand on the heartbreaking wave of migrant arrests under President Donald Trump’s administration. In an Instagram Story shared early Monday morning, the actress, visibly shaken and tearful, expressed her sorrow and distress in response to the nearly 1,000 individuals detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a single day.

In her emotional message, Selena, who is of Mexican descent, didn’t hold back her feelings of anguish. “I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something, but I can’t. My people are being attacked, and I don’t know what to do,” she said, fighting back tears. It was an impassioned plea, not just for her own community, but for those whose lives are directly affected by the escalating immigration policies.

The video, which was later deleted, stirred an outpouring of support, but also some backlash. In response to the criticism she faced for showing empathy, Selena posted a follow-up message: “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.” Despite the pushback, the star remained resolute, making it clear that her commitment to advocating for immigrant rights would not be swayed.

PopCrave has the deleted video on their socials, “Selena Gomez shares emotional Instagram Story about the deportation of Mexican people:

“All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”

America’s Harsh Reality for Immigrants

Since Donald Trump’s return to the White House, the U.S. government has ramped up its immigration enforcement efforts, with ICE intensifying deportation campaigns that disproportionately target undocumented immigrants. The massive operation on January 26, in which 956 individuals were detained in a single day, is a grim reminder of the severity of the crackdown. The renewed executive orders under the current administration have left immigrant communities across the nation fearful of being torn apart.

For Selena, who has long been vocal about her Mexican heritage and the challenges faced by immigrants, this issue is especially personal. Her heartfelt response to the ongoing immigration crisis echoes the pain and frustration felt by many in the immigrant community who are living in constant fear of deportation.

She has become a beacon of support for those affected, as her followers rallied behind her message, praising her for using her fame to shed light on such an urgent and pressing issue.

Professional Success Amid Personal Advocacy

While Selena’s response to the migrant arrests has made headlines for its emotional sincerity, her career continues to flourish, as evidenced by her success in the film industry. Recently, she starred in Emilia Pérez, a musical drama that has taken the film world by storm. The film tells the poignant story of a cartel lawyer who assists a boss transitioning into a woman, and it has captured the attention of both audiences and critics alike.

Emilia Pérez has not only been a box office hit but is also garnering significant attention during awards season. The film has racked up an impressive 13 Academy Award nominations—an incredible achievement for any film, let alone one that explores such a unique and timely narrative.

Critics have praised the movie’s bold storytelling and the stunning performances of its ensemble cast, including Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, and Adriana Paz. Despite missing out on an Oscar nomination herself, Selena’s role in the film has solidified her status as a key player in Hollywood’s new wave of talent.

With the film’s multiple nominations—including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for Gascón and Saldaña, respectively—Emilia Pérez is positioned as a serious contender for the coveted Best Picture Oscar at the 2025 Academy Awards.

Amid the excitement of her Hollywood success, Selena has also revisited her roots, delighting fans by reprising her iconic role as Alex Russo in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The new Disney Channel series has been a massive hit, and the first season, which debuted earlier this year, has sparked plenty of buzz. The final batch of episodes, which will drop on Disney+ on February 28, marks the conclusion of this beloved revival.

Selena’s return as the mischievous, magical teen wizard was met with great enthusiasm by long-time fans of the original show, Wizards of Waverly Place, which originally aired on Disney Channel.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Selena shared her excitement: “NOTHING will ever beat making little kids laugh… thank you @disneywizardsseries for making the little girl in me so happy!! Hope you guys watch!! 💜🪄,” she wrote, alongside behind-the-scenes images from the set with her co-star David Henrie and the new cast.

The finale, titled “Nigh Is Now!”, directed by Andy Fickman and written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, will surely be a standout moment for fans who have followed Alex Russo’s magical journey over the years. The return of Selena’s character to the small screen has generated a nostalgic wave of excitement, reminding viewers of the show that helped launch her career.

The Enduring Impact of Selena’s Advocacy and Career

Through her powerful blend of advocacy, emotional vulnerability, and professional accomplishments, Selena Gomez continues to inspire both her fans and her peers. In an era when celebrities are increasingly using their voices to address important social issues, Selena stands out for her unyielding support of marginalized communities—whether it’s speaking out against unjust immigration practices or fighting for the rights of immigrants, she remains a steadfast and compassionate ally.

Her career, too, has proven to be an enduring success, with Emilia Pérez set to dominate awards season and her Disney roots reminding everyone of her wide-reaching influence. Whether she’s dazzling in a movie or on social media, Selena Gomez serves as a powerful reminder that stardom and empathy can go hand in hand, and her voice continues to resonate in both the entertainment industry and beyond.

  1. Maybe if these people of influence would teach immigrants the proper way to enter countries legally, maybe, just maybe we would not have these issues we are having today. Educate people on how to do it correctly and they wouldn’t get rounded up in the wee hours of the morning.

  2. Totally agree with the previous comment. There is not one other country on the face of the earth that allows people to just move into their country and expect a free ride. There are procedures to go about applying and being approved to live in our country why should these illegals get to skip the process??? Go back where you came from and take Selena gomez with you..

  3. With Selena Gomez’s net worth is estimated to be around $1.3 billion as the majority of her wealth comes from her successful makeup company, Rare Beauty, which she founded in 2019 as well as her earnings from music, acting, and various brand partnerships have significantly contributed to her billionaire status.

If Selena wants these folks here so badly, Selena can house, feed, clothe and educate these illegal aliens on HER dime not the American taxpayer’s.

Besides, Selena was born Grand Prairie, Texas and NOT Latin or Central America. However, she proudly embraces her Mexican heritage from her father’s side and Italian descent from her mother’s side.

I guess these young women are not Selena’s people:

Laken Riley: A nursing student from Georgia who was brutally murdered in early 2024. Her case gained significant attention as it highlighted ongoing concerns about immigration policies.
    .
Mollie Tibbetts: A University of Iowa student who was murdered in 2018. Although her case falls slightly outside your specified timeframe, it remains one of the most high-profile cases involving an illegal immigrant.

Jocelyn Nungaray: A 12-year-old girl from North Houston, Texas, who was sexually assaulted and killed on June 16, 2024. Two undocumented immigrants from Venezuela were charged with her murder.

Rachel Morin: A 37-year-old woman from Harford County, Maryland, who was raped and murdered while jogging in August 2023. The prime suspect, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested after a 10-month search.

    SAVE THE TEARS SELENA!

  4. How do you sell Pander and Greed? S-E-L-E-N-A G-O-M-E-Z!

Selena is nothing more than greedy, pandering Italian / Mexican born in Texas trying to sell more records and beauty products at the expense of the illegal aliens!

Why did Selena remove this pathetic post so quickly?

    The word is B-O-Y-C-O-T-T!
