Dopey Is Back in Disney World—And You Only Have a Few Weeks to See Him

A rarely seen Disney character has quietly made his return to EPCOT, and Passholders who are quick enough can catch him before he disappears again.

Dopey, one of the original Seven Dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), is now appearing solo in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT—but only for a limited time. The meet-and-greet is being held at Der Teddybar from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily and is available exclusively to Annual Passholders.

This marks one of the very few occasions where Dopey has appeared without the rest of the dwarfs. Usually, fans only get the opportunity to see the full group during specially ticketed events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Solo appearances by any of the dwarfs—especially Dopey—are exceedingly rare, making this a must-see moment for die-hard Disney character collectors and fans.

To take part in the experience, Passholders must present their valid Annual Pass at the entrance to the meet-and-greet. A park reservation for EPCOT is required unless guests arrive after 2:00 p.m. or it falls on one of Disney’s designated “Good-to-Go” days. Disney is also providing PhotoPass photographers on-site, allowing guests to get high-quality images with Dopey without having to fumble with their phones or ask someone else to take a picture.

This offering is part of Disney’s summer V.I.Passholder Days celebration, an initiative aimed at giving Passholders exclusive access to new perks, snacks, merchandise, and experiences. In addition to the Dopey meet-and-greet, guests can enjoy a Passholder-only lounge inside EPCOT, enhanced discounts on select items, and other limited-time benefits.

The meet-and-greet is currently scheduled to run only through July 31, so time is of the essence for those looking to meet Dopey. It remains unclear whether additional rare character appearances will follow, but the positive response from Passholders could lead Disney to explore more experiences like this in the future.

As Disney World continues to refine its Annual Pass program, experiences like this help create moments that feel more personalized and rewarding for the guests who visit most frequently. While Disney has not officially announced any further details, this limited-time character appearance signals that more surprises may be on the horizon.

If you’re heading to EPCOT this summer and hold a valid Annual Pass, be sure to swing by the Germany Pavilion. You may just walk away with a rare photo and a magical memory that other guests will be wishing they had.
