Mickey’s Halloween Party Is Back and More Magical Than Ever

For many families, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World is an annual must-do. From spooky character encounters to Halloween-themed treats, it’s been a tradition that blends Disney magic with all the thrills of the season. But for 2025, that magic comes with an extra dose of sticker shock.

Disney has finally pulled back the curtain on this year’s party dates and offerings, and while the entertainment line-up looks as festive as ever, it’s hard not to notice the steep price hike. This year, depending on the night you attend, you might find yourself shelling out as much as $229 per person—a figure that’s causing many fans to do a double-take.

These ticket prices mark a noticeable increase from last year’s $199 peak, pushing the event into what some are calling “premium territory.” For a family of four hoping to experience the Halloween event on October 31, they could be looking at nearly $1,000—before taxes. This surge comes on the heels of other increases around the parks, from hotel add-ons to food and beverage costs, making a trip to Disney World a major financial commitment for many.

Despite the financial fright, Disney isn’t cutting back on the spooky fun. The event will once again feature Halloween-exclusive shows, the Boo-to-You parade, trick-or-treat trails, and fan-favorite ride overlays. But 2025 does bring some refreshing changes to the party. For the first time in over a decade, Mickey and Minnie will appear together in their festive costumes at Town Square Theatre, a nod to their last dual appearance back in 2012. Jack Skellington also gets a spooky makeover, offering guests a fresh take on the beloved Pumpkin King.

Adding to the party’s entertainment is a new dance party themed to Zombies 4, bringing an extra jolt of energy to the evening. Plus, some rare Disney characters, including Pain & Panic and Vanellope, will make appearances during the parade, delighting guests with their limited-time cameos.

Tickets will go on sale May 15 for Disney Resort hotel guests, with the general public gaining access on May 22. And while Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can grab a $10 discount on select dates in August and September, there’s no discount for October dates—when the prices hit their peak and demand is highest.

Even with the price hike, Disney’s strategy seems to be working. Last year saw every single party night sell out, and the company appears confident that guests will still flock to the parks despite the cost. It’s a trend that echoes the broader pattern seen across Walt Disney World: more limited-capacity events, more upcharges, and an ever-increasing focus on premium experiences.

For longtime Disney fans, this raises tough questions about the value and accessibility of these offerings. Many are wondering whether the most magical place on Earth is drifting further out of reach for average families. Sure, the memories are priceless—but now they’re attached to a price tag that can feel downright ghoulish.

Yet, for those who can swing it, there’s no denying the allure of celebrating Halloween Disney-style. The ambiance, the exclusivity, and the once-a-year surprises still make Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party one of the most coveted events on the Disney calendar.
