Effective Today: Disneyland Officially Opens 2027 Vacation Reservations

Anyone dreaming about a Disneyland vacation next year can finally do more than just pick potential dates.

Disney has officially opened 2027 Disneyland Resort vacation packages and hotel reservations today, August 25. Eligible trips can include arrivals ranging from January 1 through December 31, 2027.

That makes today an important date for Disneyland guests who prefer getting their vacations organized early.

Instead of waiting until the new year gets closer, travelers can begin exploring accommodations and packages months ahead of their visit.

And for guests who already know exactly when they want to go, today's opening gives them the opportunity to begin making those plans official.

Disney Begins Taking 2027 Disneyland Reservations

Disney revealed the August 25 booking date before reservations opened, and that date has now arrived.

Guests can begin booking Disneyland Resort vacation packages and hotel stays for 2027 online or by phone.

The timing gives families a substantial head start.

A guest planning a spring or summer vacation, for example, doesn't have to wait until the beginning of 2027 to start figuring out accommodations.

That extra time could be helpful for travelers trying to coordinate vacation days, school calendars, airfare, and the other details that go into a Southern California trip.

It also gives guests an opportunity to start comparing their Disneyland Resort options before their vacation gets much closer.

The 499-Day Rule Could Affect Your Trip

There's an important piece of fine print attached to today's opening.

Disneyland Resort limits how far into the future guests can make reservations.

The first day of a vacation cannot be booked more than 499 days ahead.

That means some guests planning late-2027 vacations won't be able to reserve their trips immediately.

For example, simply seeing that reservations are available for 2027 doesn't guarantee that every arrival date in November or December will already be accessible.

Those dates must first enter the 499-day booking window.

This makes today's opening a little different from Disney simply releasing every 2027 date at once.

If your preferred dates aren't available yet, there's no reason to immediately assume that the hotel or package you want has sold out. The calendar may not have reached your arrival date.

Guests looking toward the end of the year will want to keep track of when their trip falls within that limit.

Guests Have More Time to Build Their Vacations

For many families, Disneyland is a trip that takes some preparation.

Having hotel reservations available this far ahead gives guests more breathing room to think about the rest of the vacation.

Some travelers may want to book accommodations first and handle other details later. Others could use today's opening simply to compare options and determine whether their preferred 2027 dates make sense.

Either way, guests now have actual 2027 booking information to work with.

Those who aren't ready to look that far ahead also have alternatives.

Disney has continued promoting offers for fall and winter 2026 Disneyland Resort visits, giving guests interested in a more immediate vacation options to consider as well.

But today's big change is all about next year.

August 25 officially starts a new phase of Disneyland vacation planning as Disney begins accepting eligible 2027 vacation package and hotel reservations.

For guests who have spent months talking about visiting Disneyland next year, they can finally start booking it.
