Walt Disney World Resort is bringing live entertainment back to EPCOT, and it’s looking for talented performers to fill some exciting roles. After a period of quiet stages and empty spaces following the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney’s second Central Florida park is ready to inject even more life into its lineup with new “variety acts.”

With the completion of CommuniCore Hall, the much-anticipated transformation of EPCOT is finally wrapping up. The extensive reimagining of the park includes new attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, along with redefined park areas. EPCOT’s former Future World is now split into three distinct neighborhoods: World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery, all while World Showcase retains its iconic global charm.

As much as the pandemic delayed construction at EPCOT, live entertainment throughout Walt Disney World Resort also took a hit, with many performers losing their roles due to layoffs. Now, Disney is launching a new casting call to restore some of that live energy. According to Disney Auditions, the company is seeking “variety acts of up to five performers” to enhance EPCOT’s atmosphere with contemporary, engaging performances.

So, what exactly is Disney looking for? The casting call seeks various performers, from magicians and jugglers to physical comedians and visual artists. Disney is particularly interested in performers who can appeal to families and entertain diverse audiences. Acts can include solo or duo dancers, performance artists, and even acts incorporating technology—perfect for EPCOT’s forward-thinking vibe.

Disney specified that it’s not looking for certain types of performances, including “musical acts, fire breathing or fire juggling acts, balloon artists, animal acts, face painters or caricature artists.” Performers must be over 18 and local to Central Florida.

Unfortunately, guests may need to wait a bit to see these new performances. Disney is accepting submissions through November 24, 2024, with callbacks tentatively scheduled for January 24, 2025. Performers interested in bringing their talents to the Most Magical Place on Earth can submit their application links to WDPR.Disney.Audition.Submissions@disney.com with the subject line “WDW Variety Act Submission.”
