Every guest at the Walt Disney World, whether an old-timer or a newbie, should know a thing or two about how to navigate the enormous Disney complex and make the most out of their Disney vacation. Here are some essential tips for visiting and enjoying the Disney World Resort to the fullest!
Book Your Three FastPasses Early in the Day, Then Get More
One of the downsides of visiting the Walt Disney World has always been waiting in the long lines to your favorite rides. With the FastPass, however, guests can get a shortcut pass to the front of the line, giving them less time to wait in line and more time to spend in other areas of the park. Nowadays, guests can pick three FastPass attractions ahead of time. If you can, do not space these FastPass reservations apart. Instead, do your best to reserve your first three FastPasses as early in the day as you can. This way, you free up more time during the day to add one new FastPass at a time.
Take a Break during the Day
A mistake that many make when going to a theme park is trying to tough it and stay in the parks from opening until closing. Although this is something many have done successfully, it is ultimately exhausting to complete and can take a toll on younger children or older guests. To ensure that everyone has enough energy to have fun, recharge in the middle of the day at your resort. You will not only beat the harsh mid-day Florida sun, but you will also feel pumped and ready to go once you return.
Come Packed For Any Weather
Florida weather is a tricky beast. One moment, the heat and sun penetrate every last corner of the park. In an instant, however, you and your party could be getting drenched in a thunderstorm. Don’t get caught empty handed. Instead, bring essentials for the heat, rain, and even prepare for a potential temperature drop at night or colder temperatures in restaurants and stores. I recommend ponchos over umbrellas to keep your hands free as you roam around the parks in the rain.
