The video shows men and women from both groups hitting and punching each other, with the brawl apparently spreading through multiple rooms of the Avatar Flight of Passage queue. At one point, a Disney cast member ran toward the altercation and attempted to intervene verbally — but Disney cast members are trained not to physically intervene in fights and are instead instructed to contact security. The cast member called for assistance and stepped back.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call logged as “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” on Savannah Circle W at 11:21 a.m. on August 2. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):
