Fire Extinguished in Disneyland’s Frontierland Over the Weekend

Disneyland Paris Resort has seen its second popcorn cart fire this month. This time, the incident played out in full view of guests walking through Frontierland at Disneyland Park.

The footage shows a Disney cast member emerging from inside the kiosk after extinguishing the blaze with a fire extinguisher, while a second cast member moved through the area to direct guests away from the smoke. The situation appears to have been handled quickly and without significant drama, which is consistent with how Disney cast members are trained to respond.

No injuries have been reported from the incident, and no major damage to the surrounding Frontierland area appears to have occurred. Attractions and other dining and merchandise locations in the area continued operating normally.

A Familiar Problem This Month

The Frontierland incident is the second popcorn cart fire at Disneyland Paris Resort in June. Earlier this month, a similar event shut down a snack kiosk in the Central Plaza area near Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Disneyland Paris Resort eventually surrounded the affected kiosk with plywood walls. Whether the Frontierland cart has received the same treatment — or whether it has already been cleaned up and returned to service — hasn't been confirmed.

Disneyland Paris Resort has not issued a statement about either popcorn cart fire, which is consistent with how the resort typically handles minor operational incidents on its property.

As always, guests who witness any kind of emergency at a Disney park should move away from the affected area promptly and follow all instructions from cast members and other authorities on the scene.
