Florida Man Defecates on Extinct Disney Attraction, Giant Poop Harasses Guests

Walt Disney World is known for its meticulous attention to detail, seamless storytelling, and immersive attractions, making it one of the most beloved vacation destinations in the world. With millions of guests flocking to its four theme parks every year, it’s easy to assume that everything runs like a well-oiled machine.

However, no amount of Disney magic can completely control human behavior—and sometimes, the most unexpected, bizarre, or downright disgusting moments unfold right in front of stunned guests.

A viral Reddit thread recently asked visitors to share the strangest things they’ve ever seen at Disney, and the responses ranged from hilarious childhood mishaps to stomach-churning guest behavior that even Disney’s world-class cleaning crews would struggle to forget. These jaw-dropping stories prove that, while Disney World may be the happiest place on earth, it’s certainly not immune to chaos, cluelessness, and the occasional catastrophe.

A Childhood Blunder That Turned Into a Disney Career

One of the most unique (and oddly heartwarming) stories shared involved a young child who found himself in quite the predicament while waiting for a ride in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland:

“My cousin got his head stuck in the metal bars in line at Dumbo 30 some odd years ago. The fire department had to get him out.

He was screaming. I was mad because I had to wait with the family and it was scorching hot.

Hilarious story to this day. He ended up skating for Disney on Ice for 21 years. I guess he forged a bond with them.

I remember Disney characters kept coming by and trying to soothe him.

I will get the photos but Gaston kept making jokes of using his muscles to break out.”

Queue barriers are there to keep guests organized—not to trap them. But for one unfortunate child, an innocent misstep led to a full-blown emergency as his head became lodged between metal bars in the ride queue for Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

Disney characters—who are trained to stay in character no matter what—rushed to comfort him, while Gaston, in true arrogant fashion, made jokes about flexing his way through the problem. Eventually, the fire department had to step in to free the stuck child.

And in a surprising twist of fate, that same child would later spend 21 years performing in Disney on Ice, proving that even the most embarrassing Disney moments can come full circle.

A Disgusting Surprise at Splash Mountain

While most theme park horror stories involve malfunctions or missteps, some fall into a far more disturbing category. One Redditor shared a tale that left guests in line for Splash Mountain horrified:

“We saw an ADULT pull a turd out of their underwear and leave it on the steps while in line for Splash Mountain years ago. I almost vomited. It was just laying on the steps until we were able to get a cast member’s attention.”

It’s one thing to have an unfortunate accident, but it’s an entirely different level of disgusting to remove the evidence and leave it behind in the middle of a theme park queue.

For those unfamiliar, Splash Mountain was once one of Disney’s most iconic attractions, featuring a thrilling log-flume ride through the world of Disney’s controversial 1946 film Song of the South. The ride had a devoted fanbase but was ultimately shut down in 2023 to be reimagined as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, inspired by The Princess and the Frog.

While the new ride promises fresh storytelling and an updated experience, one can only hope it leaves behind the history of guests treating ride queues as their personal restrooms.

When a Guest Took a Real Plunge at Kali River Rapids

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some of the most immersive attractions in the park, and Kali River Rapids is no exception. A thrilling whitewater rafting ride, it promises guests the refreshing thrill of crashing through rapids on a simulated jungle river journey. However, one guest got a little more water than they bargained for:

“Not too crazy but saw a woman fall into the water while trying to get into Kali River Rapids. She wasn’t paying attention in the first place and the cast members were continually telling her where to go but she was just doing whatever she wanted.

She just completely missed the boat when trying to board and went straight into the water. Cast member just threw her hands up and the other cast member working load-in went and helped her get out. It was one of the dumbest and most satisfying things I’ve ever seen in my life.”

While Kali River Rapids is designed to get riders soaked, boarding the raft itself is not supposed to be part of the challenge.

Guests are expected to follow cast member instructions while stepping carefully onto the rafts. However, ignoring those instructions can result in some wet and embarrassing consequences—as was the case for this unfortunate guest who completely missed the boat and tumbled into the water instead.

The image of a cast member throwing up their hands in frustration is all too relatable for anyone who has ever worked in customer service. While the guest was likely fine (aside from their ego), the incident serves as a reminder that even the simplest instructions are there for a reason.

The Not-So-Magical Reality of Disney Theme Parks

These stories serve as a reminder that Disney may be the most magical place on earth, but it’s not immune to the unpredictability of human behavior. With millions of people passing through its gates each year, there’s bound to be moments of pure chaos—whether it’s someone getting stuck in a queue, making an unfortunate bathroom-related decision, or quite literally falling into a ride.

Disney cast members are known for their impeccable professionalism, quick thinking, and ability to diffuse difficult situations, but even they can’t control everything that happens in the parks. And while some mishaps can be laughed off, others—like the infamous Splash Mountain incident—become legendary for all the wrong reasons.

For guests planning a Disney vacation, these stories serve as both entertainment and a cautionary tale:

  • Always pay attention to your surroundings (especially near ride queues).
  • Follow cast member instructions—they’re there to help.
  • And for the love of all things magical, use the restrooms.

At the end of the day, theme parks are unpredictable places, and while Disney strives to deliver a seamless, immersive experience, sometimes the strangest moments unfold where you least expect them.
