Are you a Disney fan looking to splurge on some serious Disney parks memorabilia? Have we got the deal for you! While browsing the Tampa, FL Craigslist site, Disney fans may stumble across what does indeed appear to be an authentic Fort Wilderness Cabin.
According to the seller’s listing, the cabin was located on the property of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort in the 2100 blog until it was removed in 2016. It has signs of normal wear and tear (understandably after years on Walt Disney World property) but otherwise appears to be in good condition. The seller indicates that it has two new split air conditioning units, and many of the original features Guests may recognize from past Disney vacations including artwork, desk lamp details, the wooden bed frames, and the Murphy bed.
Similarly to how the cabin operated while at Walt Disney World, the accommodations would sleep six adults and offers about 500 square feet of living space. Stairs or a deck would need to be purchased separately (or disassembled and reassembled) and the cost of moving the unit would be up to the buyer.
As the seller points out, it could be a great tiny house or in-law suite or be a nice way for someone to earn some extra income by renting the cabin on airbnb or VRBO.
The price point of $50,000 includes everything pictured in the Craigslist listing, plus a title for the property (currently still in the Walt Disney Company’s name.)
You can read the full listing here for complete details on the Fort Wilderness Cabin, including full dimensions, necessary hookups, and other notes for how to make payments to the seller in order to receive this one of a kind collectible piece of Disney parks history.
We are always fascinated with the idea of owning such a large piece of Walt Disney World property to ourselves, and are so curious as to the potential this opportunity offers for the right Disney fan!
