Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are meant to be all about the classic “Disney magic” that the Walt Disney Company is known for. However, Disney’s reputation has taken a plummet recently as the Disney Parks become synonymous with “waiting, whining, and abysmal food” (as one journalist put it), and that highlight known as Disney magic often seems scarce.
We have seen plenty of customer complaints from Disney Guests about long ride wait times and overcrowded theme park areas, and judging by one Disney Guest’s recent experience, things have not improved much!
A TikTok user named Kali (@mediceregcreamextrasugar) recently shared footage from a long wait inside the Chinese Theater, where she was waiting alongside other Disney Park Guests to try Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Hollywood Studios.
Since this ride is relatively new and replaced The Great Movie Ride, it’s typically a popular ride — but the wait for this ride apparently made it very unpopular with Kali, especially since the ride is prone to breakdowns that make the wait times even longer!

In a video on TikTok, Kali showed footage of the crowd in the Chinese Theater and called the experience “the most dehumanizing event of [her] life”. Kali added in the caption of the video that Disney was meant to be “the happiest place on earth”, but she panned the camera to show footage of miserable-looking Guests surrounding her.
This video seems to be deleted now, but this is not the first time that Disney Guests have complained about Disney’s crowd control methods.

We saw shocking levels of discomfort from Guests who were crammed together in a small space while waiting for the new EPCOT ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and have previously heard Guests compare their Disney Park experiences to being treated like “animals” such as cattle, being herded from place to place.
The fact that Disney seems to have drastically cut back on its air conditioning offerings could also be making things even more uncomfortable for Guests in tight spaces like this!
