Each quarter, Florida’s theme park safety reports offer an overview of incidents at the state’s most-visited destinations, and the latest findings—spanning August through October 2025—highlighted a handful of cases across Walt Disney World Resort. While most guests enjoyed magical moments as expected, four incidents were officially reported within the resort during this period.
Three of Walt Disney World’s six theme parks were listed in the report: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. EPCOT, Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park recorded no incidents in this quarter.

At Typhoon Lagoon, two separate injuries were noted. In late July, a 56-year-old guest suffered a head injury after being accidentally struck by another swimmer in the park’s wave pool. A few weeks later, in mid-August, a 44-year-old woman fell and hit her head while leaving Miss Adventure Falls.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios reported one medical event in early September: a 50-year-old man experienced chest pains after riding Toy Story Mania! in Toy Story Land. Later that same month, a 77-year-old guest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom fell while exiting Na’vi River Journey in Pandora—The World of Avatar.
While Disney’s report accounted for four cases, other Central Florida destinations saw varying results. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Legoland Florida reported no incidents at all, SeaWorld Orlando listed one, and Universal Orlando Resort reported seven.

Among the latter was the tragic passing of guest Kevin Rodriguez Zavala after riding Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe. The attraction reopened on October 4 with revised accessibility and safety measures.
Although any report of guest injury or loss is deeply concerning, these updates serve as reminders of the extensive safety systems in place across Florida’s theme parks. Disney continues to review attraction operations, prioritize guest well-being, and ensure that every visit to Walt Disney World Resort remains a safe and magical experience for all.
