Guests Won’t Recognize Disney Springs After What’s Happening in 2026

Disney Springs is going through some absolutely massive changes right now, and if you haven’t been paying attention, you’re going to show up for your next trip and wonder what the hell happened to half the stores you remember. Some of this is good news. Some of it is brutal. All of it means Disney Springs won’t look or feel the same as it did even six months ago.

Level99 Is Taking Over the Cursed NBA Experience Building

Level99 is set to move into the former DisneyQuest building at Disney Springs, which struggled to find a successful concept after the NBA Experience flopped. This interactive venue for adults will feature over 60 themed challenge rooms, including physical, skill-based, and mental challenges, as well as head-to-head duels and art scavenger hunts.

The new location will be the largest Level99 yet, complete with a two-story bar serving handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and Detroit-style pizza as a signature dish. This addition aims to provide a unique adult entertainment option in Disney Springs, attracting a different crowd beyond shopping and dining.

Gideon’s Is Expanding With a Savory Concept

Gideon’s Bakehouse is expanding with a new location called Six Ravens at Disney Springs, taking over the former Art of Shaving space. Unlike the popular cookie offerings, Six Ravens will focus on savory items, specifically Coffyns (hand pies) filled with creations from Gideon’s kitchen and local chefs.

The menu will also feature potatoes, local draft beer, and grab-and-go desserts. Owner Steve Lewis announced this on January 16, 2026, marking six years since Gideon’s original opening. This new spot aims to ease wait times at the original location while showcasing local culinary talent.

Multiple Disney Springs Stores Are Closing Permanently

Here’s where things get rough. Disney Springs is losing several established stores to permanent closures, and some of these are pretty shocking.

Francesca’s, the women’s fashion boutique that’s been at Disney Springs for years, is closing as part of a complete nationwide shutdown. The entire company is going through liquidation and shutting down all remaining stores. Liquidation sales and store-closing signs are already up at the Disney Springs location.

Sprinkles Cupcakes shut down on January 1, 2026 with absolutely zero warning. The company ceased all operations nationwide overnight. Guests showed up to find doors closed, lights off, and the famous cupcake vending machine dark and empty. Employees were reportedly blindsided by the closure too, which made the whole thing even more brutal.

Sanuk footwear closed back in August 2024 without any big announcement. One day, it was just gone. Signage came down, doors locked, space left empty. And Sosa Family Cigars had been at Disney Springs for over 20 years when it closed in early 2023. This was one of the longest-running independent businesses associated with Disney Springs and Pleasure Island before it. The closure marked the end of a legacy from a completely different era of the shopping district.

Parking Is Getting Messy Too

On top of all the store changes, the Lime Garage is closing for extended refurbishment. It’s shut down from January 12 through February 11, opens briefly February 12 through 16 for Presidents Day crowds, then closes again from February 17 through March 13.

This affects parking access for everyone trying to get to Level99, Gideon’s locations, The Polite Pig, and other spots in that section of Disney Springs. You’ll need to use Orange or Grapefruit Garages instead, which means longer walks.

What This All Means for Disney Springs

Disney Springs in 2026 brings genuinely exciting new stuff like Level99 and Six Ravens, but it’s also losing familiar stores that made the place feel consistent and predictable. The closures reflect harsh retail industry realities where even high-traffic Disney locations can’t save struggling brands from nationwide collapses.

If you’re a regular Disney Springs visitor, just know that your favorite routines might need serious adjusting because the landscape is shifting fast.
