Michael Myers has spent almost 50 years terrorizing Haddonfield, but one thing has never changed: beneath the iconic white mask, the character has always been a man.
Now, that has finally changed—although not in the way many Halloween fans might have expected.
Per Bloody Disgusting, Mattel has unveiled the first official female Michael Myers as part of its brand-new “Monster High Skullector” collection, which was announced during San Diego Comic-Con. The line also includes The Nightmare Before Christmas villain Oogie Boogie, but it's the “gender-swapped” Shape that's already turning heads.
Inspired by Dick Warlock's appearance in Halloween II (1981), the doll sports Michael's blood-spattered blue coveralls, signature kitchen knife, and the unmistakable white mask.
There are also a few Monster High flourishes, including high-heeled boots, glitter detailing, a miniature Halloween II VHS tape, and a jack-o'-lantern accessory.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the collectible, labeled “M. Myers,” arrives on August 7.

Halloween Has Flirted With a Female Michael Myers Before
While this marks the first official female Michael Myers, the franchise has teased the idea several times over the years.
The most famous example came in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), when Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris) appeared in her uncle's clown costume holding a bloody kitchen knife after attacking her foster mother, seemingly setting her up as the franchise's next killer.
That storyline was abandoned in the next installment, but the image remains one of the series' most memorable endings.
Rob Zombie's Halloween II (2009) also hinted at Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) inheriting Michael's darkness after she donned his mask, while the novelization of Halloween Ends (2022) explored Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie feeling the mask's lingering pull after finally killing Michael.
With a television series and Halloween: The Game (2026) both on the horizon, the franchise has no shortage of opportunities to revisit the concept.
For now, though, the first official female Michael Myers exists only as a collectible—and it's already one of the most unusual additions to the Halloween legacy.
