Heads Up, Passholders: Universal’s New Freebie Has Arrived

Universal Orlando is kicking off the excitement around Epic Universe with something every Annual Passholder can appreciate—a free gift. Beginning April 17, Passholders who have valid admission to Epic Universe can stop by the Sensorium Emporium inside Celestial Park and pick up an exclusive Epic Universe poster. It’s available from park open to close, while supplies last.

If you’ve been following the hype, you already know Epic Universe is the most anticipated new theme park in years. With brand-new lands like the Wizarding World’s Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon, Super Nintendo World, and Dark Universe, the buzz is real. And for Passholders lucky enough to be among the first through the gates, grabbing a little piece of that excitement in the form of free art feels like the cherry on top.

Universal has built a pretty good track record when it comes to giving back to its loyal fans. Over the years, they’ve offered limited-time perks like collectible magnets, themed lanyards, and even early access to events like Mardi Gras and Halloween Horror Nights. This latest giveaway isn’t just a nice touch—it’s part of a pattern. Universal knows that rewarding its core fanbase keeps the energy high and the social media posts rolling.

And yes, this includes all Universal Orlando Annual Passholders visiting the new park—whether you usually spend your time over at Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure. If you’ve got access to Epic Universe, the gift is yours to claim.

But it’s not just Universal that does this sort of thing. Disney World fans know the magnet game all too well. Disney has been handing out collectible magnets to its Passholders for years, often tied to EPCOT’s seasonal festivals. People will literally line up in the blazing Florida sun to grab the latest Figment, Orange Bird, or Stitch magnet. For Disney, these little gifts have become something of a tradition—and the designs often spark real excitement (and some eBay bidding wars too).

What’s interesting is how both Universal and Disney handle their passholder perks in different ways. Disney leans heavily into characters and nostalgia. Universal tends to connect their giveaways more directly to park experiences—like the Epic Universe poster, which is likely to become a collector’s item for fans of the new park.

There’s no denying that things like complimentary gifts and sneak peeks go a long way in building loyalty, especially as the cost of theme park access continues to rise. Annual Passholders spend a lot throughout the year—on food, merch, and multiple visits—and these types of bonuses feel like a small way the parks say “thank you.”

Universal’s latest giveaway is also perfectly timed. With previews and phased openings starting to heat up at Epic Universe, this poster acts like a small but meaningful welcome mat for returning guests. It’s the kind of touch that makes people feel part of something big.

If you’re planning to visit Epic Universe during its early days, don’t forget to carve out time to visit the Sensorium Emporium in Celestial Park. Not only is it home to some of the coolest themed merchandise, but it’s now your one-stop spot for this special Passholder poster. But don’t wait too long—once they’re gone, they’re gone.

For fans of theme parks, it’s always the big-ticket attractions that get the headlines. But it’s these smaller gestures—free posters, collectible magnets, limited-edition keepsakes—that build long-term loyalty and create those little magical moments along the way.
