Henry The Hippo Celebrates Birthday at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Some of our favorite pieces of news to share are cute stories about Walt Disney World’s animals! While visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom and seeing the animals on the trails and through Kilimanjaro Safaris is especially wonderful, we love hearing the names and stories about individual animals. Disney’s latest share is about Henry the hippopotamus. The big guy just celebrated his birthday at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

As shared by Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment Facebook: “Our keepers love to celebrate animal birthdays with extra special enrichment to mark the occasion. Take a look at the tasty treat they crafted for Henry the hippo to enjoy for his 26th birthday. His refreshing birthday “cake” was made of watermelon, green beans, sweet potato, carrot and acorn squash. We expect Henry will be celebrating again soon as he and his mate, Tuma, await the arrival of a baby hippo in the coming weeks.”

Way to go Cast Members for making Henry’s big day a special one! Henry is adorable and looks happy as can be. We’ll look forward to hearing more about Henry’s mate, Tuma, and the arrival of a baby hippo!
