A severe thunderstorm watch over South-Central Pennsylvania brought Saturday evening's plans at Hersheypark Stadium to an abrupt halt. Fortunately, the venue moved quickly to give thousands of affected ticketholders a clear path forward.
The Decision Made for Safety

Hersheypark Stadium announced on Saturday, July 19, that the Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan concert scheduled for that evening would not go ahead as planned. A severe thunderstorm watch covering the region for the remainder of the evening made it too dangerous to bring thousands of guests and performers together in the outdoor stadium. The venue shared the announcement on Facebook:
SHOW UPDATE: Given the current severe thunderstorm watch for the remainder of the evening, the THOMAS RHETT & NIALL HORAN show tonight has been rescheduled for TOMORROW, July 19, at 6pm for the safety of our guests, the artists and our team members.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.
Two Choices for Ticketholders

Hersheypark Stadium laid out options for affected guests in a follow-up comment:
“Refunds will be honored if guests can't make the rescheduled date, and options will be shared with ticket holders directly via email. We appreciate your patience as we work with Ticketmaster through the process.”
In short, show up Sunday at 6:00 p.m. with the same ticket, or request a refund through Ticketmaster if Sunday doesn't work.
In an Instagram video, Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan addressed disappointed fans:
“We love y'all, and your safety is first and foremost our biggest concern. We want to give y'all the show that we have prepared, and we just couldn't guarantee that for tonight. It's a miracle that the venue's available tomorrow, that me and Niall are both here tomorrow, so we'll see you guys tomorrow night, ready to freaking rock.”

The Theme Park Kept Running

Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, and The Boardwalk Water Park all continued operating normally on Sunday, according to the resort's official website. Guests with Hersheypark plans for July 19 don't need to change anything; the postponement applied only to the Stadium concert and nothing else.
