As part of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month (which began on September 15), Disney is focusing on the animated movie from 2021 called Encanto.
Another Celebration Begins
Encanto was a big hit with audiences when it premiered on Disney+ in 2021 — whether or not audiences were allowed to talk about Bruno Madrigal — and now that the Madrigal family has begun to appear in Disney Parks in a more and more tangible way, it is no surprise to learn about Walt Disney World Resort’s plans for said family during Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month!
The Disney Parks Blog has reported that “during this month-long celebration, Magic Shots and Disney PhotoPass Lenses featuring friends from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto and Disney/Pixar’s Coco are available at select locations throughout the resort.”
Encanto might take center stage these days, but Coco was a poignant film that became a success in its own right when it was released back in 2017 as well.
Coco or Encanto? Why Not…Both?
This means that Coco protagonist Miguel (and his dog Dante) will be available for some special photo opportunities with Disney World Guests as part of these celebrations!
The fan-favorite character Luisa Madrigal from Encanto will be making an appearance for a Magic Shot as well, so you can flex your muscles alongside her!
If you do take advantage of these limited-edition Magic Shots and Disney PhotoPass Lenses, then be sure to use the hashtag #TogetherWeAreMagia and the hashtag #DisneyFamilia adventures to be part of Disney World’s community while you’re on vacation!
But Wait, There’s More!
If you still haven’t had your fill of Encanto, make sure you pay a visit to the Encanto frame in the Animal Kingdom theme park for some poses with your family as well.
This frame includes “Antonio and his animal amigos,” which makes “the new photo opp…an enchanting addition to the park.”
Are you headed to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida this month in order to enjoy Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month in the Magic Kingdom Disney Park, Animal Kingdom Disney Park, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios?
