How to Become a Princess at Disney Parks in 10 Not-So-Easy Steps

10. Create A Profile Account

As with any job in the world, there is an application process at Disney Parks. First, you’ll need to create an account through the Disney Auditions web page. This is your portal to all of the auditions and upcoming employment postings.

9. Ace An Audition

Because you are applying for a position as a Disney princess, an audition will be the first step of the hiring process. Because Disney takes very seriously the role of its characters—both “fur” characters and “face” characters—you’ll need to really wow hiring managers with your ability to portray one or more Disney princesses. Disney prides itself in offering unmatched customer service, interactive attractions and world-class entertainment, and for this reason—as well as for continuity among several different people portraying the same character—Disney requires auditions, some of which are very intense, but none of which are optional.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
