How Would the Disney Princesses Look Now?

Everyone is familiar with Disney princesses' recognizable features since we've all seen them in their respective Disney movies–but how would the princesses look if we could meet them here in 2021? An artist named Izaque Arias has answered that question by depicting each of the classic Disney princesses as if they really had lived and matured to be in the present day!

Snow White appears side by side as her iconic teen self from 1937 and as a 92-year-old woman in 2015, reimagined with a contemporary Disney Park style, offering fans a glimpse of how beloved Disney Princesses might look today.

The artist started with Snow White, the oldest princess, who would now be 92! It's understandable that Snow would look a bit older, since she was only 14 in her classic Disney film, but she's still a natural beauty with that signature cherubic roundness to her face (Isaque used Betty White for inspiration).

Cinderella as seen at Disneyland: her classic 1950 design at age 19 beside a reimagined, elder Cinderella at age 84 from 2015, both depicted to highlight her evolving Disney Princess look and updated appearance for modern audiences.

Cinderella is up next; with her bright, sparkling eyes and inquisitive brows, we think that the older Cinderella looks a bit like Julie Andrews (which makes sense, since she was part of the artist's inspiration). We particularly like that Arias stuck with each princess's original color scheme!

Sleeping Beauty as seen in Disney Parks, depicted first as the classic young princess from the 1959 film and then reimagined as an older, smiling woman in 2015—showcasing how Disney Princesses might appear if they aged gracefully alongside fans.

Next up was Sleeping Beauty — also known as the pink (and blue)-loving Princess Aurora or the woodsy maiden Briar Rose! Aurora's still got her berry-toned lips and unique violet eyes (not to mention her enviable cheekbones). We could definitely see her ruling the kingdom with Prince Philip in her golden years!

Beloved red-haired cartoon character featured in her original 1989 design as a 16-year-old, alongside her 2015 makeover at age 42, where she debuts a refreshed, Disney Princess-inspired look perfect for meet-and-greets and parades in the parks.

As a mermaid, Ariel might age a little differently than regular mortals (if any Disney princess can be called regular!); her big blue eyes (the biggest of any Disney princess's, second only to Rapunzel's), fluttery lashes, and long red hair definitely make her stand out! Her red lips are also still intact (perhaps it's a waterproof longwearing mermaid lip color that stays put under the sea?), and we could definitely see Ariel rocking red lipstick well into her wiser years. She'd probably also stick with swimming as her favorite form of low-impact exercise!

Belle from "Beauty and the Beast" is reimagined at age 41 with a fashionable, contemporary look in this modern cartoon. Her classic 1991 animated design appears in the background, offering Disney fans a side-by-side celebration of Belle’s evolution as one of the most beloved Disney Princesses.

As the bookworm of the group (and one of the more quietly-confident Disney princesses) we can really see Belle as a woman who would find the things she likes and then stick to them. So it's no surprise that she'd keep the same delicate eyeliner and simple hairdos from her time in a “quiet village”! However, with her thirst for adventure and natural curiosity, we can also anticipate that Belle would be a stately queen who was reserved on the outside but full of surprises on the inside! Who knows? Maybe she'd end up penning a memoir (in between thoughtfully ruling her people) about how she fell in love with the Beast!

Jasmine as she would appear at a Disney park in 2015, aged 38 and shown in vibrant color, stands in the foreground while her classic animated look from Aladdin (1992), age 15 and rendered in nostalgic black and white, is featured behind her—showcasing a creative reimagining of how Disney Princesses might evolve with modern styles.

With her bone structure, strong brows, thick hair, and big almond-shaped eyes, it's no surprise that Jasmine would age very, very well. A sharp jawline, high cheekbones, and an intimate knowledge of accessorizing means that Jasmine would stay glamorous and naturally feisty throughout her life. We suspect that she'd also be the type to indulge in fancy face masks or vitamin supplements. And we're certain that she'd still love being up late into the night on magic carpet rides with Aladdin, too!

Holistic wellness, healthy eating, and lots of aerobic outdoor activities (like, for instance, canoeing with Nakoma or running “the hidden pine trails of the forest” with Meeko) means that Pocahontas would most likely stay hale and hearty throughout her life. We're guessing that she'd be full of all-natural tips and tricks, whether it was for DIY body exfoliants or homemade soup recipes–although her naturally high cheekbones, pouty lips, and luscious hair don't hurt, either.

Sticking with sweaty cardio like combat would keep Mulan healthy and glowing throughout her life, we're sure–not to mention she'd have Mushu by her side for laughs and Shang alongside her for true love! Mulan would most likely fight bad habits like overeating after battles and undereating when she was excited or in a rush, but with her mother and grandmother's help, she'd get lots of good food and traditional skincare techniques foisted on her. Mulan's full lips, sharp eyes, and charming personality would also make her a favorite among her people the longer she lived!

Do you think that there should be more additions to this series? Which princess (or queen, so that Frozen's Anna isn't excluded!) are you most eager to see as a full-fledged woman?
