A Disneyland Park attraction unexpectedly became an overnight experience for dozens of guests earlier this month. A technical malfunction reportedly left riders stuck on Indiana Jones Adventure late into the night, one of whom shared their experience on TikTok.
The incident was captured in a TikTok video shared by user @ggabiiii444, one of the affected guests. “4 girls, one problematic ride at the Happiest Place on Earth,” she captioned the footage. The group had purchased a Lightning Lane pass to skip the regular line, but instead found themselves waiting indefinitely on the attraction.
@ggabiiii444 4 girls, one problematic ride at the Happiest Place on Earth 🙃💀🏰🪄🐭🗿🔥🐍🌴 @MarletteMac @alexia 🌟 @Isa 💕 but we got a free lighting lane for Guardians, I think we won¿ #disneyland #disney #disneycalifornia #indianajones #girlsday #disneybesties #disneyparks #disneytiktok #disneygirl #disneyadults #themepark
One Disney Park guest shared their frustration in the video: “We paid $27 extra for this.”
Disney cast members responded to the situation by turning on the overhead lights and instructing guests to stay seated during the downtime. Some passengers couldn’t help but laugh at the surreal situation.
“I like how they keep telling us to sit here like we have a choice,” one of the Disney Park guests joked. “The seatbelts are on.”
The delay lasted about 35 minutes, far past midnight, and the guests were left frustrated by the inconvenience. Fortunately, Disney made it right by offering compensation for the extended wait.
“We ended up getting a free Lightning Lane for [Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!] for the absurd wait,” the TikToker shared, adding, “A win is a win.”
In the comments of the TikTok video, other Disneyland Resort guests shared their own experiences of being stuck on Indiana Jones Adventure.
“Is this freaking Indiana jones because that happened to me around that time of night and I thought I was gonna die there,” said @shylar.
@mindylee333 also said, “We got stuck on it this week too!!!!” and confirmed they also received a complimentary Lightning Lane.
Disneyland Resort rarely comments on these minor ride breakdowns, and this incident was no exception. Thankfully, Indiana Jones Adventure was back in operation shortly after the shutdown and continued to run smoothly. The technical issue seems to have been a temporary glitch rather than a long-term problem.
