The Weather Service says hot and humid conditions will persist through at least Friday, with heat index values approaching advisory criteria every afternoon.
A drier air mass is choking off rain chances this week, which usually means fewer of those afternoon storms that knock the heat index down a notch. So the classic Central Florida 3 p.m. thunderstorm relief may just not show up.

Work Around It at Disney World
Build midday breaks into the plan. Do not try to muscle through.
Worst window is roughly 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Slot in water rides, indoor attractions, or a table-service meal in there. A long lunch in air conditioning is not a wasted hour today; it is a tactic.
