What Toy Story 5 Is About

Toy Story 5 opens in theaters on June 19, 2026, reuniting Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, and Joan Cusack as Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie for a story built around the most relatable modern fear in any toy's life: being replaced by a screen. When Bonnie's parents bring home Lilypad — a frog-shaped tablet voiced by Greta Lee — the toys of Bonnie's playroom face the possibility of becoming obsolete. Conan O'Brien and Bad Bunny also join the cast as new characters, Smarty Pants and Pizza With Sunglasses.
