Universal Products & Experiences and Saber Interactive are giving fans the ultimate way to step back into Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic with their upcoming game “Jurassic Park: Survival“.
A newly unveiled behind-the-scenes featurette shows just how closely the title mirrors the original film—offering something even Universal Studios' theme park attractions haven’t managed to capture.
Set 24 hours after the events of the first film, “Jurassic Park: Survival” is a first-person action-adventure where players are thrust into Isla Nublar where the dinosaurs now roam free. The developers describe it as a “fully realized Isla Nublar,” with appearances from iconic locations like the Visitor Center and dinosaur paddocks. Watch the video below:
Lisa St Amand, Jurassic World Project Executive, stresses how much care has gone into honoring the 1993 film. “It’s really exciting to be able to translate this incredible film into a video game because you really have the opportunity to go much deeper into the film,” she says. “We worked really closely with our partners and with Amblin and our filmmakers to make sure that we’re capturing the island and all the dinosaurs in really great detail.”
The connection to Spielberg’s vision continues with the dinosaur encounters. Velociraptors, Dilophosaurus, and of course the T-Rex are all present. “All the encounters are going to be amazing,” Saber Interactive’s Matthew Karch explains, promising players will interact with the creatures in a “meaningful way.”

For John Melchior, Executive Producer at Universal Products & Experiences, it’s about recreating details only teased in the original. “There’s lots of facilities, there’s lots of buildings, there’s lots of attractions that are under construction, there’s a hotel under construction. So fans are going to see things and landmarks that they only wish they saw.”
Shayne Mifsud, SVP of Franchise Management at Universal Pictures, calls it a return three decades in the making: “The opportunity to re-enter into Jurassic Park is something we’ve waited over 30 years to be able to do.”
Payal Mistry leads as Dr. Maya Joshi, an InGen scientist personally recruited by Dr. Henry Wu, who finds herself trapped on Isla Nublar. Mistry says, “She’s incredibly passionate and adventurous. I think she takes risks, she steps outside of her comfort zone.”
The behind-the-scenes footage shows that “Jurassic Park: Survival” isn’t just a game—it’s being positioned as the definitive way to relive Spielberg’s original masterpiece.
