Karaoke, Dancing, Dinner Shows… Evening Entertainment You’ll Love at Disney World

AMC Theater

Every Walt Disney World park has evening hours and breathtaking nighttime spectaculars. So, Disney is probably lacking in nightlife. Right? Wrong! Disney is brimming with evening entertainment that extends beyond the nightly fireworks. For those looking for a change of pace, a location for a bachelor/bachelorette party, or just a simple break from the parks – you’ll love these options for a night out. From dancing the night away to laughing till your sides hurt to relaxing by a tranquil fire – there is an option for every type of visitor. Let us describe what awaits!

1. Boogie the Night Away

For guests who remembered their dancing shoes, the Atlantic Dance Hall is a nightclub for those that miss Pleasure Island! Situated at the end the BoardWalk shopping and dining area, this venue is the place to sip cocktails and groove to the music of various decades. And if you need a break, step out to enjoy the pristine BoardWalk area. Fleshed out in an Art Deco style, this massive dance hall is reminiscent of a Disney Cruise Ship and has plenty of seating in addition to its huge dance floor.  So go pick a spectacular outfit, round up all of your friends who are 21 years or older, and dance until you can’t dance anymore. (Be warned though. This establishment stays open past midnight, so make sure your guests won’t turn into pumpkins.)

2. Channel Your Inner Celine Dion

If you’d rather belt out a song than shake your groove thing, then another option (close-by in the EPCOT resort area) awaits! Kimonos at the WDW Swan Hotel transports you to a cosmopolitan Tokyo restaurant. Outfitted in sleek and minimalist décor, this is the ideal place to catch your breath and order a round of sake. Then, gorge on award-winning sushi and participate in nightly karaoke. (And if you’re an introvert, you can just enjoy the free entertainment.) Whether you’re a performer or an observer, Kimonos is a welcome change of pace for a sophisticated traveler.

3. A Slew of Disney Springs Entertainment

While this isn’t a nightclub spot, Disney Springs is stuffed with entertainment. Of course, there are extensive shopping and dining choices, but there are many performance spaces too. For example, live musicians perform regularly at the House of Blues, Raglan Road, and Paradiso 37. Another hotspot, The Edison, features a rotation of performers including musicians, burlesque-style dancers, and much more. If you’d like to get in on the action, challenge a friend to a game of bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. Or you can relax and munch on goodies in the air-conditioned fork and screen AMC movie theater. Regardless, if you’re looking for something to do before the next Cirque du Soleil show opens, you have many options!

4. Say “Yee-Haw!” for a Great Show

This highly successful dinner show proves that (when available) chances should always be taken. Back in the 70s, a group of college interns were hired to put on a Wild West/Vaudeville style dinner show called The Hoop De Doo Revue. This show played at the Fort Wilderness and Campground Pioneer Hall and featured singing, dancing, hilarious antics, and endless servings of comfort food. And the production is still running to this day! Book your seats in advance, because although it plays several times a night, The Hoop Dee Doo Revue is often a sell-out. For decades, Disney fans haven’t been able to get enough of these characters and their corny, feel-good musical romp. Don’t just take our word for it. Book an unforgettable evening of laughing and dining with the ones you love. It may become a tradition.

5. Let’s Go to the Movies

Last, but not least – one of the best evening entertainment options is free! If you’re a guest at a WDW Resort, then there’s a good chance your resort offers free outdoor movies. Check with your concierge and select which night you’d like to see a Disney movie under the stars. Some resorts even offer complementary campfires! Lucky guests staying at the Fort Wilderness Resort can enjoy campfires, s’more roasting, and sing-alongs with Chip and Dale beforehand. While not as luxurious as an AMC movie theater, there couldn’t be a more peaceful way to unwind and imagine yourself in simpler times. As wonderful as the parks are, these itinerary options are just as wonderful. Don’t be afraid to mix up your schedule and explore Disney beyond the theme park gates. Many adventures await you.
