Disney Lorcana is officially celebrating its second anniversary, and to mark the occasion, it’s unveiling a lineup of new products, expansions, and surprises that promise to take the trading card game to even more enchanting places. Whether you're a longtime Illumineer or just starting your journey into the Inklands, there's plenty to be excited about in Lorcana’s next chapter.
What’s New in Disney Lorcana
Here’s everything that’s been announced, along with what’s coming and when:
Fabled Expansion
Releasing August 25 at local game stores and September 5 everywhere else, Fabled introduces two new rarities: Iconic (rarer than Enchanted) and Epic. This set includes new Glimmers from A Goofy Movie (Powerline!), Dumbo, and a beautifully paired Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Prince and Minnie Mouse – Sweetheart Princess, designed to fit together.
Collector Sets
Two new collector-friendly items drop on October 3:

- Lorcana Puzzles by Ravensburger
Arriving globally on September 1, these six 1,000-piece puzzles feature stunning artwork themed to each of Lorcana’s magical inks: Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, and Steel. The Amethyst and Steel puzzles will release early on August 29 at select U.S. Disney stores. Each puzzle includes a Mickey Mouse – True Friend promo card. - Whispers in the Well
Coming November 14, this expansion dives into the mysterious “Whispers” and introduces Zootopia characters like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. - Winterspell
Scheduled for Q1 2026, this frosty-but-tropical set stars Stitch, Angel, and others in a snowy, unexpected setting. - Toy Story Expansion
Releasing in Q2 2026, this set brings Woody, Buzz, and more Pixar favorites into the Lorcana universe.
Lorcana Over the Years
Launched in 2023, Disney Lorcana has grown into a worldwide favorite. Co-designed by Ryan Miller, whose journey into game design began at age 11, the game has been a labor of love. Told he couldn’t play a fantasy trading card game as a child, Ryan made his own—and never stopped. After serving in the U.S. Army, he pursued game design professionally, bringing that passion and creativity to Lorcana.
