Lowest Rate Times at Disney Throughout the Year

Walt Disney World in Florida is one of the most famous and visited theme parks in the world, and millions of visitors have made this their vacation destination every year.  A Disney vacation can be costly, but there are ways to ease your budget by researching discounted rates at Disney and other Resort Hotels.  There are also certain months throughout the year where Park and Hotel rates are lower and save you quite a bit of money.

Here are some dates that may help with your Disney Vacation planning.

1.  September, After Labor Day

The weather is still hot, so a dip in the Hotel pool can be quite refreshing.  The crowds are lower, and you can visit the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.  September is also one of the cheapest times of the year to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel.

2.  Walt Disney World “Free Dining” Plans

Disney includes their Disney Dining Plan for free with the price of your Disney Hotel room package, which means you do not have to pay for your meals and snacks.  The free Disney Dining Plan dates are usually announced early in the year, but they do go fast, so if you’re looking to save some money, make those reservations as soon as the dates are announced. Most of the dates for the free dining plans are in the Fall, so keep that in mind when you’re planning your Walt Disney World vacation.

3.  After Easter Up Until Memorial Day

The weather is warm with tropical breezes, plus little chances of a hurricane.  Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival takes place at this time of year, and with lower crowds it is especially enjoyable.  Anytime between these two holidays is a great time to visit Walt Disney World with lower crowds and costs.

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
