The much-anticipated Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade will debut on July 20, ushering in massive crowds at the Magic Kingdom. However, some strict new entry rules are locking Annual Passholders out of the original Central Florida Disney park.
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is the first year-round nighttime parade at Walt Disney World Resort since the most recent Main Street Electrical Parade run ended in 2016. The sparkling parade will begin on Main Street, U.S.A., and end in Frontierland, featuring glimmering floats inspired by Moana (2016), Peter Pan (1953), Pinocchio (1940), Wish (2023), Frozen (2013), Encanto (2021), Coco (2017), and more.
Beginning July 20, Walt Disney World Resort requires all Annual Passholders to make Park Pass reservations for Magic Kingdom Park, despite recent efforts to ease reservation requirements. In the past, Annual Passholders could visit without reservations on “good-to-go days” or simply arrive after 2:00 p.m. most days without needing one. Unfortunately, Annual Passholders without Park Pass reservations for July 20 might be out of luck.
As of June 25, 2025, all Annual Passholder Park Pass reservations for Magic Kingdom Park on July 20 are officially sold out, leaving many fans unable to see the debut of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. However, reservations for other parks on the same day, such as EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, are still available for Annual Passholders. These guests can still park hop to the Magic Kingdom after 2:00 p.m. unless the park hits capacity, in which case, they may also be turned away.

Annual Passholders can continue checking availability, as Walt Disney World Resort may release more reservations or others may cancel. Still, for now, reservations for Magic Kingdom Park on July 20 are no longer available for Annual Passholders.
