Footage circulating on social media this weekend shows a half-naked man repeatedly slamming a large suitcase into a hotel room door in the Little Mermaid (1989) section of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, a Value Resort hotel connected to Disney’s Pop Century Resort and the Disney Skyliner. TikTok user @wdwactivecrime was among the first to share video of the incident:

The guest filming speculated in her video that the man’s family may have locked him out of the room after he became heavily intoxicated. However, that detail has not been officially confirmed. Several other Walt Disney World Resort guests are visible in the footage, watching or filming from a distance as the situation escalated.

@disneybaebie confirmed in her post that both Walt Disney World Resort security and local police arrived at the scene, along with a hotel manager.

Whether the man or the occupants of the room were removed from the property following the incident has not been confirmed. Given the law enforcement response, it seems unlikely the man involved left the situation without at least a temporary trespass warning from Walt Disney World Resort.

Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor local law enforcement has issued any public statement about the incident.

The videos spread quickly across social media, drawing sympathy from Disney Parks fans who zeroed in on the impact on whoever was behind that locked door.

“How sad,” @breschubring981 commented on TikTok. “This is someone’s magical vacation.”

“I’m scared for the people behind the door,” said @tangledingrateful.

Guests who witness disruptive or threatening behavior at Walt Disney World Resort should avoid stepping in directly and instead alert the nearest cast member, who can contact security or law enforcement as needed.
