Marvel fans have become accustomed to the high stakes and epic superhero crossovers, especially following the game-changing events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw beloved characters like Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers/Captain America, and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) make the ultimate sacrifice.
But what if one of Marvel’s most dangerous enemies wasn’t a supervillain or a cosmic entity like Loki (Tom Hiddleston) or Ultron (James Spader) or Thanos (Josh Brolin), but an alien hunter with unmatched skills? Oh, and from another franchise. Enter the Predator.
In recent years, the Predator franchise saw a resurgence with the success of 2022’s Prey, which introduced a new generation of fans to the deadly Yautja species.
Now, while Disney is preparing to unleash not one, but two Predator films this year (under the 20th Century Studios banner), IGN has reported that Marvel is taking the bold step of bringing the iconic dreadlocked alien hunter into its ever-expanding comic book universe, with “Predator Kills the Marvel Universe,” a limited series that hits shelves later this year.

“Predator Kills the Marvel Universe” will feature the Predator as the ultimate villain, taking on some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes and villains. Writer Benjamin Percy, who has worked on the previous three titles, “Predator vs. Black Panther,” “Predator vs. Wolverine,” and the latest addition, “Predator vs. Spider-Man”, teases a violent, high-stakes event where no hero or villain is safe. “Every character is on the chopping block,” he told IGN.
For fans of the Predator franchise, there’s also plenty to be excited about over on that side, as two new films are set for release this year: the animated film Predator: Killer of Killers will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally on June 6, and the live-action sequel Predator: Badlands will release in theaters on November 7.
